These guys are the best and I must admit I'm a picky person. I found them on Yelp and they had great reviews. I try to donate to charities that help veterans as much as possible. My mom worked for the VA for 25 years so hiring them seemed fitting. They communicated well, showed up on time, focused on their work and nothing was broken. Very hard workers and highly recommend them.

Selling and buying a home is stressful enough, and we didn't want to add to it by lugging our own stuff. These guys knocked everything out in no time. I swear it felt like I turned around and they had the truck loaded. Not a thing was broken or even scratched as far as I can tell. Superb job.

Our move went amazing, thank you Rent A Vet Movers! Their team of 3 movers worked very fast and efficiently. They wrapped and protected all of our delicate furniture. Our furniture was loaded and unloaded without any damages. I highly recommend. Their team was polite and very enjoyable to work with. Will do business again.

Hired to move a very small apartment. 3 guys and a 24 foot truck. Nothing was wrapped to protect. Nothing was secured on the dolly to where a witness saw each piece after piece fall off onto ground and be drug thru mud. Barely moved half of furniture then said truck was full. Upon unloaing at new place they put everything in my garage. Being a single woman i looked at them and asked them to place in housevshowing where everything was to go. Everything was placed in 1 room. As looking at my furniture not 1 piece wasn’t scratched or full of mud. Including my mattresses. Company is refusing any wrong doing except it’s a learning experience for his men. I hired rentavetmovers to do my move on May 1,2019. Main reason vets. My son is a 7 yr still I listed sergeant in the marines. The 3 guys showed up with a 24 foot truck. From the beginning thru emails I was very happy. Very professional with keeping me informed of the arrival time. I felt good about this move. At first they started out strong boxes were gone to the truck in min. Next furniture. As they were loading my belongings I was shocked 1 guy started to carry my king pillow top mattress by himself. I was like ok wow. Little to my knowledge they drug all belongings then the mud (it’s poured the day before). Did not fasten any of my things on their dollies. I was busy packing last min things that I wasn’t able to micro manage them. (Why would I when I’m paying for trained movers) . It even an hr into loading they slowed completely down. I’m thinking I’ve moved several times with more furniture in a 24 foot truck, so I. Thinking they are getting tired. I offer drinks. A few min later 1 was on his phone the whole time they come back and say ok we’re done truck is full..??? I’m like what? Well they know more than me so I go well ok then. Now in this move they loaded in a 24 foot truck. 1 king mattress, 1 twin mattress. 4 twin box springs, sectional couch.,1 solid heavy wood tv stand, 2 smaller tv stands, 2 dressers, 2 night stands. A kitchen table and 6 chairs. And maybe 20 boxes at the very most. I inform them go to new home start unloading if I’m not there and plCe all boxes in garage and furniture in rooms. I leave and they are having a good break at qtrip. I go see you at new place. I then headed there. (I’m no slow driver) I get to new home and they beat me and Are unloading everything into my garage. Excuse me I’m a single woman can you plz put furniture in the rooms it belongs in? They Apologize and I show them where everything goes. 15 to 20 min top they were done. I’m thinking ok surely they go back or schedule to move the rest of my stuff. After speaking with someone I was told of how much I owe ( yes I’m very naive assuming they’d move rest of belongings). They leave and I go upstairs to find every piece of furniture in 1 bedroom. As I’m moving my furniture around I notice chunks of fresh mud falling off. I then see fresh white paint scratches ( old home had white walls. New place cream walls) and several scratches on not 1 not 2 but every piece of furniture they touched. I instantly email the company. I’m asked to send pictures. I do. Next morning they email me back and state I didn’t purchase extra protection insurance so they aren’t liable for any of my belonging and they didn’t know the move wasn’t completed. ( in the last 7 yrs I’ve hired movers 8 times and never bought insurance nor had these kinds of problems). I went back to apartment to check walls for damage and started a paper trail and plenty of pictures. The neighbor upstairs asked if it was me moving I said yes. She then informed me that every single time they got to the end of the sidewalk by their truck each piece of my furniture they didn’t strap on their dolly hit the sidewalk and rolled into the mud. Hmm thanks. I’m writing all this because as a military family I take pride in the men and women who have served our country and who have served. I try and always give back to anything that has to do with our military. This company is a franchise (I used the one out of kcmo). I asked each guy (all 3 of them) so did all of you serve in the military ? Each said no. Wow that’s 3 out of 3. I’m ending this with I’m not settling with this company for what he wants to give me. He stated what I paid for the move which is more than I should basically get. I’m sorry but this is a principal matter now. You stand behind your name and you do what’s right. I still have to hire another moving company and now my belongings totally a good 20 k r ruined. I’ve reported to bbb and will continue spreading my words until this company makes it right. I’m beyond upset when I’m the person that would give my last dollar to someone now I’m trying to rebuild my belongings. I’m tagging my son in this so any person he knows and so on will make sure this is knowledge to any other family trusting a company with their personal belongings. Thank you.. Kathy Mitchell.. editing post. So much more to explain, plenty of pictures and emails from corresponding back and forth with company

Overall, it went well. PROS: Our 3-man crew worked very **** ** their requested Sunday February 18 move day. They took apart and put together our beds, took the mirrors off and put the mirrors back on our dressers, took down our wall-mounted flatscreen TV, capped our washer water lines when the water could not be shut off with the valve, and were all very friendly and helpful. The move took several more hours than my Angie's List deal and required a second small trip, but they stuck with it until we were 100% done. CONS: Rent A Vet did not come to our house to do an in-person estimate but did do an informal estimate over the phone and said 4 hours should be fine. It ended up taking 6.5 hours and I had to pay for the extra two hours. (The final price was very reasonable for six hours of moving services moving from a 4 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment in a secured building .) All my calls before and after confirming service were not answered so I left a message each time - it took 1-3 days to get a call back each time. As I began to unpack and put things away, I noted the movers had re-broken a leg on our antique dresser (it had been repaired once already) but simply wrapped it with plastic and did not tell me about it. I also noted a few minor scuffs and scratches on several pieces of furniture and on our front-loading dryer door that they didn't tell me about either. Overall, I was satisfied with the moving services we received and even with the extra time added on the cost was still less than I had originally thought our move would be.

This is probably the best experience I've had with a moving company. I've moved 4 times in the past 5 years, and I would say I would definitely re-hire these guys again, god forbid, if I did have to move again... The reason I gave it a B overall based on the fact that my mattress was damaged in the move, and furniture was not re-assembled back together properly. In the end, those are small things, and stuff happens. They were still awesome.

They did an excellent job! I was very happy to see three movers arrive ahead of schedule, which made our move much more enjoyable as we were not moving late in the afternoon. They were very professional and quick. Compared to other moving companies, they were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone moving in the Kansas City area!

There was an issue where we were unable to get into the storage so the gentlemen had to stay over night. I was happy to put them up in a hotel and provide per diem for the day. These men were caring and professional at all times..This move had the potential to become very stressful and out of control, but they never once showed any signs of being distressed. I cannot sing their praises enough. I would definitely hire this company again. Ask for these three by name. Faakir, Jaylon and Howard, I cant thank you guys enough!

I bought a deal through Angies List. I hired them a couple of times now and was very pleased with them. I definitely will use them again. Each time they were a few minutes early. This most recent time I ended up needing them for many more hours than the package I purchased through Angies List. They negotiated the cost because it ended up being a much harder move than I anticipated and it took a lot more time and so they were very negotiable with the rate. They were very helpful, friendly, punctual and very hard working. I don't know how many are truly vets or if they are a franchise but I can tell you they aren't old guys that come out and do the work. One of them was actually the owner of the other location. They had plenty of blankets, straps, and moving supplies on hand.

The movers were great. I can't speak highly enough of them. They worked harder than I expected and performed admirably on the hottest day of the year. The only reason the scores are not at least a grade lower or two is because of the movers. We tried to confirm the day before our move, and once before that I believe, that everything was in order with the moving company. We had everything packed and ready to move. We wanted to make sure they knew just how much there was. When the movers arrived, just two of them, they quickly realized the bind they were put in and called around for help. They left to pickup another guy and restarted the clock when they came back and started again. After that it was a long day of moving and it took 2 trips with their 26' truck. At the end of the day Rent-A-Vet helped with the price for the lack of communication but I'm not sure I'd use them again for a whole house move. It's already a stressful time and the moving company shouldn't add to that. If I could get the movers again I would.

It started out good with 3 guys but in the middle of the move one of the guys seemed out of it and didn't want to help the other two. So I truly only had 2 movers instead of 3. I caught 2 of the 3 texting while sitting in my garage. I have dings scratches along my walls and my wife's tanning bed was busted by the movers moving it along the concrete. And lastly my new leather sectional was scooted along the back door concrete and I have scuffs all over my leather. They used no bumpers nor moving blankets to insure that my personal items were taken care of. Very displeased in the care of my furniture.

First, I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again. They did an excellent job and were very reasonably priced. I took advantage of an Angie's List special for 3 movers for 4 hours, a 24" truck with packing materials. I didn't have them move boxes. Just large items that required a truck. In typical fashion, I misjudged how much junk I actually had to move and so it required 2 truckloads, but these gentlemen accommodated me. I went over the allotted time by 2 hours, but their overage rates were exceptionally reasonable. I knocked them down to a B on quality because there were a few dings on walls and a little damage to the corners of some furniture that were preventable with a little more care, but overall I am very happy with the job they did and the price I paid.
