I thought I was calling for an estimate, Nick Triano was at my house for 10 minutes and determined my leak was a caulking issue in need of a handyman, not a plumber. He wanted to be paid $130.00 for the service call without fixing my issue. His attitude was brash and rude. He spoke over me when I asked questions about his fees and that most of his competitors offer free estimates. I ended up paying him in full to get him out of my house and end the uncomfortable conversation. I told him he should talk rates upfront in the future. This was an extremely unpleasant experience one that I don't feel would have happened if I was a man. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.

"[Member Name Removed] called me in the late afternoon said she had a emergency that water was pouring into her basement from her bathroom so I got there 430ish. So I went back to the truck got my light and drill then had to crawl into a cabinet to remove some panels to assess the leak, thought she might have a problem with her tub spout, but after crawling in and out of the cabinet several times I determined that the caulking in the tub inclosure had failed that she needed a tile guy or handy man to remove the old caulk and replace it with new and also caulk around the faucet escutchings. I crawled back in one last time to reinstall the panels then packed up my tools put them back in the truck and charged her my normal service call of 135.00 of which hasn’t changed in 4yrs. I was surprised by her response saying I was there only 10 min. I honestly don’t remember how long I was there but I drove there because she had a so called emergency, and I figured out her problem, and her text never mentioned estimate. Funny after all that at the end when I’m giving her her invoice she says “ I thought this was a estimate”. Hmmmm"

I called Nick and within 90 minutes he was at my house. He even called to notify me when he was a few minutes away. He was very professional and very friendly. The whole job took him 15-20 minutes, and then he instructed me on some general plumbing in my home.

It went very well. He replaced and sealed all the hardware and that solved the problem. He is going to return to install another spogot on the outside of my house. The estimate he gave me seems quite reasonable.

It went well. He gave us some tips that helped and went ahead and re-caulked one spot that was possibly leaking water. All the information was very helpful. He seemed very honest and professional and I would hire him again.

This was a difficult repair and I had anticipated that when I hired Nick. I would have attempted it myself if I thought I could do it. The previous faucet was not repairable since the 23 old stem was broken. To replace the faucet, Nick had to cut in to the ceiling in a finished portion of the basement to access the old faucet. He also had to chip concrete out of the opening around the old valve. Basically the old valve had been mortared in to position. Overall, this was not your typical valve replacement. It took Nick approximately 3 hours (I actually didn't time it) to do the repair including a run to get parts. I am very happy with the quality and cost of Nick's repair. He had been recommended to me by my daughter who had used him on a plumbing problem at her home. She and I will call him again with future plumbing needs.

Nick's great — first, he quickly fixed a leaking kitchen sink sprayer nozzle by hand, in about a minute, without having to get a new part. Then he went to Plumber's Friend to get parts for the bathroom faucet and the outside faucet.
The outside faucet parts weren't exactly right. After another trip to the parts shop and some phone conversation, it turned out that the company has discontinued the model we have. Nick explained the difference in cost between replacement and repair of the whole faucet, and was able to repair it to my satisfaction.

It cost about $600 for the commercial toilet. I thought it was a fair price. He is very efficient. It was incredible. I called him yesterday and he said he would give me an estimate. He called back today, gave me the information, and said that he had a little time and asked if I wanted him to do it now. Last time, I called about three different plumbers from Angie’s List and left my name. One said that he could get to me later in the afternoon. Nick called and said that he can do it right away. He comes out and he is very efficient. He is just what you need. He is very nice.
