LITTLE WOMENS ESTATE SALES

They were awful. They charge you by the percentage. They would have been around for a while, they were older people. She came and we agreed that they were going to take a certain percentage of it. At the end of the day, almost everything in my house was gone and I ended up with $1200. She got 9, I got 12 and there were tons of things that went out the door. There was exercise equipment, there was everyday stuff, there was furniture, all of the stuff went out the door and I came up with nothing. Whether people use her or someone else, they need to make sure they give them an itemization because when I asked for it later, they did not have one and they could have walked out with anything, which I'm almost totally confident they did. They were too old to do it, which was kind of sad because they had been doing it a long long time. They were probably in their 80s. I don't think they were thorough, I thought they were rude. People had come to the sale and she treated them poorly and rudely. They came out a few minutes early and she told them they couldn't come in. It just wasn't a comfortable experience. When I went to meet her, she said, "I can tell you're upset, but most people really don't care." That's exactly what she said, they wouldn't care, they just want their stuff gone and I thought, "Oh Lord." I've heard people have made 10 or $15,000 and I'm like $1200. So I was very very frustrated. I would like to say, no, they shouldn't use them and to be careful of whoever they use. During the time my air conditioner went out and we were on vacation and she was mad at me because there wasn't anything that I could do to get it fixed that day and it wasn't. We were out of town and of course when your whole air conditioner goes, you can't exactly get it fixed the next day. She was punctual.

We are so pleased we found Little Women Estate Sales. I had been to one of her sales in Liberty and was impressed then by the presentation of the sale and how it was handled. When I contacted Lillian to come see if she would be interested in handling our estate sale she was very gracious as well as very professional.



Our sale was huge and the work required to get the items arranged and priced took a great deal of time. The presentation of the items for sale was beautiful. The tables were really works of art the way they grouped pieces by color, type or material used. The amount of work and effort that went into the sale before the doors were even open for business was amazing.



We could not be more pleased with the outcome. I would recommend Lillian, Stan and Kim, as well as the rest of the crew, without hesitation to anyone contemplating an estate sale.

I had a quick response to my initial inquiry. Lillian came to my house and explained her procedure and price. Although, it was close to the end of her season, she was able to work the sale in before the end of the year. She called me during the sale when there was an offer on a particular item, and asked for my consent or refusal. At the conclusion of the sale I had the choice of paying a clean-up charge of $200 or doing it myself. There was so little left unsold it was a minor inconvenience to do it myself. I feel that, especially in the Northland area, this company has a faithful following. Advertising was good and Lillian is a very pleasant and professional person with whom to work. I had the proceeds from the sale in a little over a week.
