Junk King Kansas City

Junk King Kansas City were great. The best help I’ve had in this massive house clear-out and cleanup ahead of an estate sale and sale of the house. They came to remove five refrigerators (from three floors), three stoves, a washer and dryer from the basement, three large chairs (two from the third floor), a window air conditioner from the third floor, and several other large and heavy objects. They sent seven men and three trucks, for this job that was not even a full load for one truck. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They had everything out in less than thirty minutes, and they cleaned up after themselves. While they were here, they also moved an old pump organ from a landing on the stairway down to the first floor and put it right where I wanted it, even though this was not part of the job. All of this, at a bit less than half of the other two bids I got. I’ve asked them to come back, not to remove anything, but just to help move some things around the house prior to the estate sale. No problem, they can do that. Just call them when I’m ready for that step. These guys are great.

They removed debris from our yard and also moved other things into storage within our home. Everything went very well. Professional, on time, charge by the hour but they are efficient and working the whole time.

Fast response, fair pricing, excellent staff. You could not find a better junk remover than Junk King. We have used them many times in the last five years and regret that we won't have them to work with in Maryland. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

They called the night before to get details of what they'd need to pick up, and showed up on time. The cost, quoted beforehand, was much less than I'd expected given the cost of renting a Dumpster, which I'd also considered. The price above includes gratuities, which I was able to add to the credit card charge, Junk King takes everything and then recycles/repurpose what they can, which we appreciated. We were able to discard electronics, which many places won't take. The 2 guys who packed up our items were pleasant and professional. They tried to get the refrigerator up the basement stairs, decided the opening might be too narrow, took it DOWN the stairs again, and attempted to move it out through the sliding glass doors onto the patio. They ran into people who were refinishing our patio (who should have been done weeks ago) who were belligerent and told them they couldn't take the refrigerator onto the patio or it would wreck the new surface. The Junk King guys dragged it up the stairs again and got it out successfully, with only a minor scrape on the door to the garage. They pointed it out to us and gave us 15% off the bill without being asked. Highly recommended- what a relief to have our discards gone and know that they'll make their best efforts to keep them out of landfills!

They were ok but they added on a lot of fees.

It was great... they were very polite and let us know that we had not provided enough junk (1/8 truck) to take full advantage of our deal. We went into the basement and found more things for them to take. Scheduling was a breeze through the online website. I would not hesitate to use them again.

They arrived on time. They were very professional. They also helped me remove things from the garage.

They carried a large television down the stairs and hauled it away as well with some small other things that were in my garage. There were no troubles with scheduling and they arrived on time to the appointment. Three men came to complete the job. There were no additional costs beyond the price of the deal. It was great! While there are a junk hauling company, they are professional and do a good job with the work. I have used their services additionally since the deal and that worked out great as well.

Two young men showed up on time and listened carefully to what I needed them to do. They disassembled desks to get them out the door, hauled off a very heavy old tv and so much more. They must have made 50 trips up and down the stairs. They were extremely careful to not scratch my walls or hardwood floors. I had only a few minor scratches on things which was inevitable due to the tight spacing to get the stuff out the door. They were hard working and pleasant. I would definitely use their service again if the need ever arises.

All the guys that I worked with, from the quote to the job itself, were professional, friendly and courteous. They were punctual for both the quote and the job, and performed the work quickly and carefully.

They hauled away a hot tub, which is no easy task without a crane. But the job was completed without incident and I would definitely recommend their services.

Scheduled appointment for several weeks out, the company called about 1/2 hour before the appointment and asked how may itemes they were picking up as to make sure they has a large enough truck. They were on time for the appointment. There were three workers and they were able to remove all items within a couple of hours. Before leaving the had made sure they took all that I requested.

I called to schedule the appointment and got a prompt call-back and convenient date. When I scheduled the appointment, I asked for details related to the amount of materials that were covered by the deal. I was dismayed to learn that it was about what I could have put in the back of a pick-up and disposed of at the city dump for $15! When I purchased the deal, the advertisement had a picture of a big 16 x 8 foot dump truck and I thought I was going to be able to make use of the entire space. Instead, the deal allowed only 1/6 of the space. I think the deal should have provided this information in the description. For persons not having access to a pick-up and helpful friend as well as not residing in a city providing low priced dumping of bulky items and construction materials, this might be a good deal. My situation probably differs from most customers. That said, the owner was very pleasant, understood my disappointment, and promised to work with me if I needed additional space in the truck. The workers were pleasant, did an excellent job packing everything into the truck so as to get as much as possible into the space allotted -- and even took a little extra stuff, waiving the charges. My rating is not related to how well Junk King performed, but the lack of information regarding the volume represented by the price in the advertised deal. I had alternatives that would have been more cost efficient that may not be generally available!

I wasn't expecting Junk King (like all similar services) to charge by the cubic foot instead of by weight. An old, broken treadmill ended up being quite inexpensive to have hauled away. They also charged an extra fee for an old CRT TV because of disposal regulations on their end. Overall, they were prompt, courteous and I was given an exact quote before they started doing any work. There were no unpleasant surprises during the job. They worked quickly and efficiently and even swept the garage and driveway when they were done. The cost for this type of service is higher than I'd hoped, but Junk King was right in the range of other providers. If I ever needed this type of service again, Junk King would be my first call.
