JOHNSON COUNTY EXTERIORS

Several of our neighbors used them, and nobody was happy with them.  They didn't do the work up to code.  They hired a lot of people who couldn't English.  They were supposed to clean up the debris and nails and didn't do that.  There was a lot of billing issues, the salesman would tell you one thing, the workers wouldn't do it, a code was passed in our city last year that a moisture barrier had to be installed under the roof, they didn't do that, and when we called them, they refused to come back.  We called the Better Business Bureau, but nothing was done. I give them low ratings and will never use them again. 

After multiple phone calls and emails to both salesmen and other members of the company, I still did not receive any estimates or references.  One salesman left the company during this time and told me the company no longer dealt with windows, siding, or doors.   The other salesman did not know his partner had left the company and told me the company did still deal with windows, siding, and doors.  I eventually stopped trying to contact anyone from Johnson County Exteriors.  I have still not received a reply, as of 8-Oct-2011.  I do not intend to contact them again.

Overall, the job experience was great.  We were very pleased.  They showed up when they said they would.  A guy, Tom Jordan, came to our house all the time.  He was just really good.  He came by multiple times to check on us and make sure that things were going well and the project was going well.  It is what made our experience really good.  The work was good too.  Things moved forward the way they were supposed to be, and there are no leaks or holes in the roof.  A guy came by already and went up on the roof and checked it.

They couldn't get a board painted for quite some time because of the weather. That was explained to me and I agreed with it. You couldn't paint it if the temperature was under 30 degrees. The siding went up and was sealed; we just had to wait until it was warm enough to apply paint. I'm a happy camper with their service. Their foreman, Dusty, was excellent. You couldn't ask for better service. They were great workers all around. They cleaned up after themselves well. They sent a man out afterward to inspect it and put on some finishing touches. He removed nails and other sharp objects.
