Ted has been tuning my piano for several years. He does a fantastic job! The 1st time he came we had purchased a used piano and it took him about 2 hours to tune it perfectly. I couldn't believe how much better it sounded when he was through with it. Subsequent tunings were much faster! Great guy - great service!

Ted is amazing - perfect pitch and a fantastic pianist. It's a joy to listen to him tune the piano. Not a rushed affair - leave plenty of time for him to do his work if you plan to be there.

Mr. Horowitz exceeded my expectations. I had used a different company to tune my piano before him, but when I moved closer to KC, I needed a new tuner. My children's piano teacher recommended Ted Horowitz and I cannot say how impressed I was with his services. Our piano bench was wobbly and he fixed it. The piano rack that holds the music had come out and he got it back in. These are things that I hadn't even called him to fix but he noticed the problems and fixed them. He correctly tuned my piano (I soon realized that my previous tuner had not done so which was why my piano always sounded like it was off an octave.) and did so at a reasonable price.

I have always been pleased with his quality of work. He tuned one of my pianos that we ended up shipping to my daughter in another state. When she had someone come to tune the piano, the person commented on how well it had previously been tuned.

Ted is thorough and takes the time the is needed to get the piano in tune. The first time he tuned my piano he had to come back a second day because we did not have enough time for him to do everything that was needed. He didn't charge extra for this service. We love that he always plays something for us after he finishes, so we can hear how great the piano sounds. At our most recent tuning he had to also raise the pitch, which took more time and therefore his fee was higher. The cost for both was $135. I believe a normal tuning is $75? Also he is a RPT (Registered Piano Technician) with the Piano Technician's Guild.

Ted Horowitz is the best in the city. There isn't anything he can't do as far as pianos are concerned. I've been his customer for over 20 years and he's never given any reason for complaint or less than excellent service. I will continue using him until he or I retire. You want the best? Ted Horowitz has been tuning my piano for 33 years! He is meticulous about ensuring that the sound is perfect and that each key is working properly. On one of his early visits, he used tiny cushions so that the hinged wooden piece that covers the keyboard would gently close instead of banging down the way it always had. These little extra repairs are something that Ted does automatically. He treats my piano as though it were his, always giving it the best care possible. I highly recommend Horowitz Piano Service; I wouldn't call anyone else!
