I was excited to hear about the Energy Works KC program but didn't think my house was inefficient enough to qualify.  I have owned my house now for seven years and had already replaced the windows and doors and added insulation in the attic.  Wade from Home Care Consultants audited my house and found enough improvements to cut my heating/cooling bills by about 17 percent. (They could have lowered it more but I am not yet willling to upgrade my furnace.) They filled my walls with insulation and added nine inches of cellulose insulation to the attic somehow without letting out any of the cats. They sprayed the rim joists and repaired and replaced seals around the doors and windows.  They followed up by insuring all the work was done correctly and made sure I was getting the benefits I paid for.  The Energy Works KC rebates covered nearly every dollar I spent. Very satisfied.
