I have purchased many things over the years from Heartland nursery, mostly because they are close and have an extensive collection. I have yet to have a shrub servive more than a year from the ones purchased here. The owner is very rude and blames everything on the customer. I may bear some responsibility, but shrubs I purchase elsewhere survive. Perenials have done better but still have a death rate of about 50%. The plants are also very expensive and you must buy a guarantee for about 30% more. Good luck collecting on the guarantee through, I am batting .500 in that regard. It should be this difficult dealing with a nursery. I will buy my plants a Lowe's or Suburban in the future, they both give guarantees without additional cost and stand buy them.
