Good Hands Furniture Repair

Furniture Repair, Furniture Refinish,

About us

Just one employee, me. I have been repairing furniture for over 25 years I have worked for antique shops in the Waldo and the 45th and State Line areas and was employed by the Spar Co repairing furniture for the local Office Max and Staples stores. I can re-glue unstable furniture, fabricate replacement spindles, replace drawer sliders, repair broken legs. I touch up unsightly problems, remove dents. (I am not at this time equipped to strip and refinish large pieces, dining room sets, ect ). I work out of my home workshop, but I am able to do many repairs on sight: often, sending me a photo of your furniture will help me understand the problem. I have experience repairing structural aspects of sofas and upholstered pieces, as well as recliners.( I repair both recliner mechanisms and frames.) I do no caning or upholstery, except seat recovery. I do foam and stuffing replacement (we can improve the quality of your comfort), and some hand repair sewing. I also touch up nicks in woodwork, wood floors.

Missing slat was replaced but the one with some lead paint on it he had forgotten to replace. He offered to keep it and replace it, but it had been 5 weeks and I didn't want to wait any longer. So now I have to get some paint to encapsulate that slat. He is responsive with phone calls, but I do wish that when I initially called I would have asked how long it was going to be (my bad).

Dan is great. A true professional. Returns calls promptly. Setup a time convenient for me. Told me exactly what he wanted to do to fix the couch. Made sure that it would be according to my preferences. Finished the work in a little over two hours. Charged me $125 dollars at $50 an hour, which is a steal compared to the other pricing I received. Couch is better than new condition. I couldn't be happier with my experience.
