They came out and did some trimming of about three trees. They did a good job and they were very good. They are trustworthy and they show up when thy said they are going to.

I called and made and appointment for them to come out and look. They came out and gave me a quote for free. They walked me through their recommendations and we scheduled a time for them to come out for the removal. They came back on time and did a good job removing the trees and doing the trimming I requested.

The price extremely reasonable. They just do a really good job.They are professional. They know what they are doing. I would recommend them to everybody. I had them once and I had them come back again. One of my neighbors came over and took his time. My other neighbor had him come back and grind some trees. They went over and there and they were only charged $50. I thought that was extremely reasonable. The first time they came, they cut down a tree then a whole bunch of trees. They were here for several hours.

This was a routine tree trimming job that went well. It did carry over to a second day due to a family emergency.

I contacted a Larry Stringer, who owns and operates the company, and ask if he could come out to our house and take a look at the tree and see for himself what kind of problem we were looking at and facing if we didnt get tree down in short order before it decided to come down on its own. He said he could would be out the next day to take a look and give me a quote on how much it would cost to do the work. He arrived on time the next day as promised. He did a close up examination of the tree and agreed with me that the tree was showing signs of dtying and yes it needed to be taken down before it died out completly and came down on its own. To put it off for any length time could result in having unwanted major problems in the very near furture. He said it would be wise and much safer to get down now verses at a later date. I asked how soon could he take it down ? He said he already had a job lined out for tommorow but could do it the following day ( a Friday ). I said ok, I'll let you know later today if it is a go because I would need to talk to my wife about everthing before making a commitment. He said that would be ok with him. He did quote me a price to get the job done entirely, from start to finnish which included clean up and hauling the tree and debree away. I contacted him later that evening, after confiring with my wife on the matter, and told him he had the job, it was a go. He said thats great and said that he would arrive around noon on the day, Friday, he said he could get'er done. He arrived as promised, actually 15 minutes early, but that was ok, and prceded to get to work. He had two men working with him and in three (3) hours time, he had that sickly and slowly dying 85 ft tall oak tree down to the ground with nothing but the tree stump left. What made his work easier was the fact that he had a cherry picker, a truck with a bucket for a person to stand in, to be able to move around the tree, up, down or side ways to get at every limb to cut it off and at the right height to get to them. He was very cautious about cutting off any of the limbs and letting drop to the ground so as not to injure his men, who were feeding the limbs, after they were on the ground into a large wood chipper. Also Larry was very careful about not letting "any" parts of the tree that he cut off hit our house. At this point I cannot speaking highly enough about Larry and his men working with him and his company in general. Every aspect of the job was done "as promised" from start to finnish. " VERY PROFESSIONAL " from first contact by phone, to Larry and his men heading home after their work was done. He arrived shortly before noon and was done and headed home around five p.m. A job professionaly done, start to finnish. Larry and his company " Golden Rule Tree Service llc. is one that I would use again without hesitation if I were to need another tree taken down. Foot note: The machine that is used to remove the tree sump was at another job that day, removing a sump that was much bigger than ours, broke down in the middle of the job so will be a few days before it can be brought to our house to take out our stump. Larry assured me that when the machine is back up and running it will be brought here and the remaining stump will be taken out.

We had four dead pine trees that needed to be removed. Found Golden Rule on Angie's List and were able to use the Angie's List discount they offered. Golden Rule did an excellent job of cutting the trees and cleaning up afterwards. One of the trees was very close to the house so required special care in the removal. The did an excellent job.

Called for an estimate and Larry came out the same day. He said it might be a week or so but they were able to come earlier than expected to do the work. Three workers and three trucks. They spent 5-6 hours on the work and did an excellent job. I couldn't be happier with the results. They even helped me push a car that was blocking access to the back yard. Outstanding in every way!

When I first called company was booked until 2 wks out. First day when company arrived, they recieved a phone call that someone have a x2 tree that had fallin on family home, so company trimmed x1 tree that day and we reschedule for another day for the other trees. So it's nice to know they prioritize and reschedule for emergency situations. On Monday (a holiday) they returned and finished the other 3 trees. I will refer and use them again in the future. Plus I recieved three bid ranging from $1300 for 3 trees, $700 for 2 trees, and $575 for all four of my trees.

He was very reasonably priced. The workers were polite and did a good job.

Golden Rule responded quickly to our request for an estimate. Although they did not have the lowest bid, they were very competitively priced and had a better rating and review than the other tree services from which we received bids. Larry and his crew of one removed all seven of our river birch trees in less than 90 minutes, and cleaned up the yard and sidewalk areas completely removing debris. Since the lawn was still soft from a few days' worth of rain, he was not able to grind down the stumps at that time. (The heavy equipment would have caused huge ruts in the lawn.) After approximately two weeks, Wolfe Stump Removal came out and grinded the stumps down to huge piles of mulch that we plan to use around established trees in our back yard.
My wife and I are thoroughly pleased with Golden Rule Tree Service (and Wolfe Stump Removal). Their service was A+ and pricing was very fair. We will confidently recommend them to our family and friends who need tree removal services.

The service was excellent. They were ontime and professional. They did everything that we asked them to do and also cleaned up well. I would recommend them to other in the future.

They did an excellent job. They were friendly, they call you back promptly and it is easy to communicate with them. I would definitely use them in the future.

Larry and his crew were not in the area when I placed the first call but he called me back promptly and explained that he was working for the Army on a contract. When he returned to the area he came to my house and gave me an estimate and we agreed on the removal date/time. He and his crew came out and completed all of the cutting. He had a sub do the stump grinding the following week. We were very pleased with their work and their professionalism. Larry called me to suggest some tree fertilizer companies that he uses. I would definitely use Golden Rule again.

Larry and his team did an excellent job taking care of all of the items listed above, but because $250.00 was the minimum charge, they went above and beyond and removed some weeds they found growing in some other areas around the yard. They also sprayed where the mulberrys were to prevent re-growth. I highly recommend Larry and his team and will hire them to prune the trees in our yard as needed.

I had a very positive experience. Everything went smoothly and exactly as planned and scheduled. Careful attention was given to any special concerns I had and the job wasn't rushed. Cleanup was very thorough - couldn't have been better.

They did great, they were awesome. They were also cheaper than anyone we found on Angie's List. They are licensed, bonded and insured. I would definitely rate the price an "A", as well as everything else. The overall experience was great and we already have plans to use them this spring.
