GLEN'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE

I have been using them for years, probably 5 years. It's close to my work and they also do a quality job and they are always honest with me. It usually takes about a half a day to do the work. I think we schedule an appointment and they have the work completed the same day, so I don't need to leave the car overnight, so I think that's really important.

It went great. They ran into a couple of problems but resolved them. Didn't charge me extra and it was exactly what they quoted me. Had my vehicle promptly

Glen had previously replaced the radiator and stood by the warranty. Glen's has always been a pleasant and professional auto service repair, and we are pleased to have them work on our vehicles.  Glen had previously work on a fan-belt/ pulley noise problem, double checked several items and when there was no identifiable problems, did not sell us anything we didn't need. 
We are very pleased and would recommend Glen's to anyone.

The tires were about $400 and the barring was $180. I have gone to them for a lot of stuff since 2006! They work hard to try to get you the best deal from their suppliers. They do get scheduled up pretty fast so getting last minute work done isn't the easiest. They try to fit you in, but they can't make any guarantees.

They're close which helps because I could walk home. They have good hours; they open early and close late. It is easy to get an appointment.

I've gone to Glen's for the last 8 years, basically when I first moved to the Kansas City area. Since we've moved here, they've replaced three full sets of tires, and more mechanical work that I can honestly remember. They do top-quality work and always try to get you a good deal. I live 10 miles farther away than I used to when I first went there, and still drive the extra distance just to take my car there.
On this last incident, I had a wheel making a rubbing noise when I made a left turn at moderate speed (like going around a roundabout). The noise was then accompanied by a slight screeching sound, even when going straight. Took the car in, and a bad wheel bearing was discovered on the left rear side. The screeching went away, but the rubbing sound was still there. Ed rode with me when I complained the rubbing noise was still there. When he heard it himself, he got the car onto the next available lift when we got back, even though they are usually booked pretty solid. Found some old body work I had done somewhere else (they don't do body work) had the right rear tire closer to the fender well than the left one. They were able to get the fender well moved somewhat, although a long-term fix will have to be pursued with the body shop that did the work in 2008.
Most of my other work done there has gone much smoother. Usually, I just drop the car off, Ed or Glen tell me how much before I pick the car up, and usually pay a little less than the original estimate. The only caveat about getting your car in is they book up pretty quickly, usually about 3 days in advance, as they are not exactly a secret.

They are excellent. I had taken it to the dealer and to other people to get work done. There was a filter up under the cab that nobody else had paid attention to and yet they went right there and it was the original one from the car. I don't know how it was getting any air through it. They were very thorough, very good.

Called Glen's Automotive and requested appointment. They had one available same day. All work requested was completed in a timely matter on the same day of appointment.

We think he's the greatest mechanic. He is always punctual, responsive, and professional. The prices are very fair. We have used this mechanic for twenty years.

Older car - asked merchant to suggest service needed. Recommendations were reasonable. Service performed timely and staff was very professional.

Glen is a character who can sometimes scare people off. He is phenomenally busy, so we do have to wait. Luckily, I have enough cars so that I can just call him up and ask when he would want me to bring it in. A few days later I do that. He has worked on probably four of my cars. He has worked on some cars that I have used and traded in since, for at least 15 years. If we need something done immediately, the odds get bad. I have never been disappointed even though I'm not mechanically qualified enough to judge whether it could be better or worse.

They are typically stacked up so I go down there and ask when I can bring in the car. It might be two or three days or it might be a week; in this case, he got me in in a hurry. He’s a cantankerous man and you have to get to know him.

I called around, looking for high-end Michelin tires. I have used them before as well. They were able to basically match the online price from one company and beat another company.

I made an appointment for 8:00 am since I wanted to wait for the car. I arrived about 7:45 am and checked in at the front desk. He said that they would start working on my car as soon as their serviceman arrived at 8:00 and he said the car would be ready about 8:20. The work was performed on time and I was done by 8:25. One of the things that I like about this auto service shop is that they don't try to sell you something you don't need. He said that I didn't need to balance the tires this time thus saving me a few bucks. I appreciate that!
