Arrived with out tools to disassemble beds, etc.  My 80 year old brother-in-law and I ended up doing it.  Did not wrap any furniture or pictures as promised in pre-move consultation.  Seemed more interested in where they were going to eat and there plans for the weekend.  Had to call my son, have him take off work and bring tools to help with assembling furniture.  Part of my belongings were "lost" in the move.  Never were recovered.  Company did not seem concerned nor followed up.

Would never use again.  Watch out for this company!!!!

The entire experience was terrible. During the move, there were several items that were damaged. I usually expect some amount of dings during a move, which I'm fine with, but this was excessive. Torn & gouged linoleum (torn for 3 ft) in front of laundry room (from movers just dragging the washer & dryer instead of carrying) Trim gouges by door leading to garage (in excess of the normal bumps you expect). Deep gashes in wood work on banister and by front door Dents in front door. Deeply soiled carpet on stairs and walk ways. Numerous soiled areas on couch & loveseat (from movers with filthy hands). Deep gouge in coffee table top. Refrigerator door scratch on front. Dent on fridge top. Deep gouge in fridge handles. Numerous knicks on dining table and dining chairs. Torn & soiled queen mattress. I showed this to the movers while they were still at the house. They did not deny the damage, and apologized. They said I'd need to call their office to work it out. I called their office while they were still there, and they told me it would be fine, and I'd just need to fill out the claim paperwork. I completed the paperwork, made pictures available to them of the damage, and (a few weeks later after I called them back again) they denied every claim. It's not that their insurance company denied it. THEY denied it. They said that since they didn't drive the truck, there was no way to tell when the items were damaged. I explained that there were several ways to confirm the items weren't damaged during or after transit. 1)I showed the movers the damage while they were still there, and didn't deny it being their fault. 2)I called their office while the movers were still there to ensure I had my bases covered. 3)Much of the damage was done to the house itself, which obviously wasn't being loaded into the truck. After I had made what I thought were 3 pretty valid points, they replied as if they hadn't even listened to me, and were reading from a script, repeating that since they didn't drive the truck, there was no way to tell when the items were damaged. Are you kidding? I asked to speak to whoever was the owner/manager/main guy. I explained the same points, and he also pretended as if he couldn't follow the logic of why I thought the damage was done during the load, and continued to repeat what the first person was saying. As I got frustrated, I told him this was the worst service I had ever received, to which he replied that he really didn't care. I told him I was writing that quote down to share with others, which was pretty much the only way I'd get any level of satisfaction that maybe at least others wouldn't have to go through this. He also didn't really seem to care much about that. In the arrival city, the unloading company was shocked at how carelessly the items had been stacked in the truck for shipping. I did everything I could to ensure my items were protected from damage but ended up just being a waste.

The movers arrived at the very beginning of the one-hour time frame, we were told to expect them, with a truck more than large enough for our furniture. They got started right away while we signed the papers, so we got off to a good start. However, they did not come equipped with the supplies I expected professional movers to have, they did not have straps and one did not even have gloves. The one who was in charge clearly ran the show and the other two movers seemed hesitant to do anything without his word. They made fairly quick work of loading the truck, but despite the fact that we told them repeatedly that they would need to take apart the daybed in order to move it, they didn't tell us that they didn't have the tools to take it apart (allen wrench) until they were almost done loading the truck. At this point there was no time for us to either go to the hardware store or to a friends for the wrench, so they ended up just leaving the bed (one of the largest items in the apartment, if not the heaviest). Unloading went pretty well, aside from some small problems (I told them the wrong room for a TV and they never moved it down to the correct room, they did not put things where I asked, although for the most part things were in the right room). Nothing was damaged and unloading went well. Before unloading the last items, they asked for payment (which I expected). However, the price (with the 10% discount he promised me for leaving the bed behind) was still forty dollars over the quoted price (promised to have "no extras"). I phoned the company and he informed me that it was a fuel surcharge and that they have a 'minimum move' price which they do not go below. I was unable to get them to give me the originally quoted price, then the movers became upset when I told them that I no longer had cash for a tip, because I had to give all extra cash to them for the higher than expected fee (they would not have gotten one anyway). They did finish unloading the last materials and were out within the two hour time frame we were counting on.

The men they sent were very professional, hard working, polite and never complained despite us being a add on at the end of their day. These were the best movers I have ever worked with, we owe them a huge debt of gratitude- they really came through in pinch! Thank you Thank you, Thank you.

Overall I am pleased with Father and Son. They kept in good communication with me, their movers were competent, and they charged less than their estimate. You can't ask for a lot more than that, but there are a couple of things that could have been better: (1) the woman that I spoke with on the phone for the estimate was rather surly and did not inspire me to do business with this company; (2) I would have liked it if they had wrapped my upholstered furniture. Since they didn't wrap my furniture it got a little soiled in the move. Overall, though they did what they promised in a reasonably professional way at below their estimated price. I would use them again, but wouldn't hesitate to use someone else either.

The movers showed up late, three men, one truck, and a lot of problems. First one of the men asked to use the restroom, 20 minutes later he comes out. Then goes before we left our old place, and stops up the toilet (failed to tell me about it). It seemed the whole time like the movers were taking their sweet time, so in the end it took three guys three hours, plus drive time and 17% fuel cost (I was not told about) the funny thing is it took me less time to move all of our stuff with my father and father in law. Over all I am not happy with the service and so they earned themselves an F.

I DIDN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE THAT THEY WERE GOING TO SHOW BECAUSE THEY NEVER CAME OUT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE. I CALLED THEM TO MAKE SURE I WAS STILL ON THEIR SCHEDULE. THEY WERE ON TIME, THEY WORKED HARD AND THE JOB THEY DID WAS FINE.

THEY DID NOT STICK TO THEIR QUOTED PRICE AT ALL (I PAID ABOUT $500 MORE THAN EXPECTED). THEY SHOWED UP ALMOST TWO HOURS LATE. I FELT THAT THEY DRAGGED THEIR FEET QUITE A BIT (THEY WERE CHARGING BY THE HOUR). SOME SCRATCHES WERE LEFT IN THE FLOOR AND THEY PAID NO ATTENTION TO WHERE BOXES SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE HOUSE.
