THIS MAN IS A SCAM ARTIST!! He has several business names , one is KATN decks and exteriors, C & H Windows & More, LLC C & H Remodeling C & H Home Repair We hired Brandon Carlson to renovate both the interior and exterior of a property. Unfortunately, our experience was frustrating and disappointing. From the beginning, Brandon overpromised, assuring us that he had a qualified crew highly experienced in both interior and exterior renovations. However, this quickly proved to be far from the truth. The project was consistently understaffed, with no more than three workers on-site at any given time. Despite this, we upheld our end of the agreement and paid $25,000 within the first three weeks. Yet,just a few items on my scope of work was completed, and what item were completed was of extremely poor quality. In fact I now have to hire a real professional to tear down the exterior siding and reinstall. I walked the property daily, and it was one issue after another. From improper installations to careless mistakes, the problems just kept piling up. Since we had already paid him so much money, we hoped that allowing him to fix the mistakes would be the best course of action. However, the issues only continued, and it became clear that the work was beyond repair. When we finally brought in a licensed contractor to inspect the work, we were devastated to learn that much of it had been done incorrectly and would need to be torn down, removed and redone. The crew’s lack of training was evident—not only in the overall poor craftsmanship but in alarming details, such as using sheetrock screws for exterior trim, a completely improper and unprofessional practice. When we confronted Brandon about the issues, he admitted fault and apologized. While we appreciate his admittance , it does not change the fact that we lost valuable time and money due to the substandard work and mismanagement. Now he is refusing to give us even a portion of our 25k. Even though I paid for all materials. I will now have to seek legal advise because he didnt pay his employees and now they're threatening to place a lien on my house. This has been a nightmare. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend KATN LLC,C & H Windows & More, LLC, C & H Remodeling, C & H Home Repair for any renovation work. We strongly urge others to be cautious before hiring this company.

WOW?..WHERE DO I BEGIN???..
Before we start, just to let you know, this was a deck
expansion with a partial enclosed area with a roof on it??.$25,000.00
We were told they could build what we wanted ??no
problem???..Here are just a few of the issues?..
Was shorted 4 feet of new deck with covered roof
line?think about that for a moment, you just got shorted 4 feet of covered
deck. We have a big screen TV outside but now being shot 4 feet, we have to
put the chairs outside of the covered area otherwise you are to close to the
TV. The only reason we did the expansion was to be able to sit outside and
watch TV in an enclosed shaded area. Amazingly the price was still the same
after being shorted 4 feet of deck & roof.
Tore a hole in canopy of a $500 porch swing by dropping
material on it and did not say anything about it until he was asked. They
also broke an expensive planter on the patio. Was a matching set & now I only have 1.
Made no restitution or any offers to take care the
things they broke.
Put a hole in the Crown Molding in the Master bedroom
from the outside?they never came back to fix this.
Have a small hole in the Master bedroom wall from where
he ran electric to the outside.
Company was called several times and every time Brandon
had an excuse as to why they have not been able to come back out and fix the
issues we have. To date, all of these issues are still pending and have not
been taken care of.
The first rain we had, the water leaked from the gutter
on the new partial roof they had just put up. We could see the water going
into the Fascia board. I could not get C & H to come back out and look at
it so I called Jet Stream (they put new gutters on the house last year) After
careful inspection we were told it was not the gutter but the roof that was
the problem. After hearing this news, we called two different reputable
roofing company?s and both told us the same thing?..The roof was laid wrong.
With everything that has been wrong, we decided to have
our neighbor who is a Master Carpenter by trade come over to look at the
issues we were having.
We were told the structure is not only built wrong but
it is ??dangerous??.
1.
The supports are only 24?? in the ground &
should be 36??
2.
Severed supports are just sitting on 3 ½ - 4??
concrete. We were told they should have been drilled through the concrete to
proper length & set. Concrete will crack & supports will shift.
3.
Concrete around supports in ground should have
been brought up several inches around base of support to keep moisture out
and set properly.
4.
Highly suspects the new roof was not tied into
the house correctly. Will know when he takes down a wall.
We have been left with a big mess and are speaking with
an Attorney at this time.

As many of you know, I had problems with All Weather Decks coming to my house to give me a bid so I checked other companies and decided to go with C & H Remodeling. I originally just wanted to save the old deck that was there and add on just a small section for a little more room but unfortunately upon further inspection the old deck could not be saved and needed to come down. After much deliberation, I decided to go ahead and and have the new deck built and extend it to the end of the house. It is now 16' X 32' with plenty of room to have people over. This company took my every concern into consideration including not destroying my yard. It looks just as good now as it did before. The crew got to work right away and had the old deck completely down & part of the new deck up on the 1st day. The next day was a rain delay but after that, it was ''game on''. The deck was done in a few days and I couldn't be more pleased. What a great job. I have enjoyed this deck everyday and hope to have it stained in a couple of weeks. This was a great group of people to work with and i will have them back soon to build me a new fence.
