If we could give ZERO or NEGATIVE stars, we would. Horrible company and even worse customer service! Our builder used Buckner’s for our HVAC system back in 2022. We’ve been paying for filters and were under the impression the company was changing the filters during our service appointments for 2 years now (4 visits total), only to discover the original filter still in the furnace (we had written the date on it when we first changed it ourselves after the build process). It makes us wonder what other services they said they were providing didn’t happen despite their word??? We have called and emailed customer service numerous times about this concern since December 1st, 2024, and now, 6 weeks later, we have still not gotten it resolved or even a simple apology. Do not promise something is being done and not do it … even worse … do not charge the customer for a service and not provide it … that is FRAUD! When a customer advises you of an issue, do what is right to correct it and, at the very least, apologize for the inconvenience.

We've used Buckner's Heating and Cooling since 2002, when we purchased a furnace and A/C from them. During our annual inspection a problem was discovered that required prompt replacement of the furnace. Their staff worked with us immediately to arrange for a new furnace, and in just a few days it was installed. The installers showed up on time, completed the job in the time estimated, and were professional, courteous, and friendly. Everyone involved was very responsive.

Earlier this summer our a/c went out. The a/c unit was installed by Buckner 15+ years ago and we never had any issues. The tech that showed up less than 6 hrs after calling, completely covered in sweat because it was miserably hot turned out to be Roger Buckner, the owner. So that impressed me the owner of the place continues to get his hands dirty. He was very nice (even though he had to be miserable from the heat) and very professional. A few months after, our a/c started to freeze up and quit blowing cool air ... not because of anything Roger had done. It was a Friday night and I contacted them via their website around 8 or 8:30PM, not expecting to hear anything until the next morning at the very least. The next morning I noticed they emailed me back just after 9PM Friday night stating they do have a weekend tech or I can wait until Monday. Weekend techs are a little bit more expensive, but we had to get it fixed because it was going to be hot and muggy. The tech came out Saturday and said our a/c was basically out of refrigerant and explained a system that old probably produced a leak in the evaporator coil. He went into detail about how that usually happens because of the age and my coil probably being copper (which it is) and just the corrosion that typically happens to them. He also discussed about being able to charge the system that day but Buckner could not guarantee it and the cost of R-22 which my system uses is getting more and more expensive because it's getting phased out. He suggested putting that money towards a new system if it were him. He took my info and said he would pass it along to Steve, their sales person, and Steve would have it first thing the following Monday. I did some investigative homework myself and even wondered about just replacing the coil rather than a whole new system. Because of the age of my furnace, which came with the house almost 19 years ago and the age of the a/c unit and the rising cost of R-22, a new system was really the smartest answer in the long run. That next Monday, Steve called me at 8:15AM and we met with him later that afternoon. Very nice guy. He helped us narrow down the options and we soon had a plan in place for a whole new system. 2 days later Joe and John showed up early that morning and worked all day to get the new system in place. Again, it was hot, but they worked non-stop. Very courteous and professional and even stopped a couple times, when my wife and I showed up, to explain about what they were doing and how things were going. One of the agreements with Steve was the addition of a new vent being installed my wife wanted, if it was physically possible. I wan't sure how they were going to do it because of the space limitations and other restrictions posed because of the way things were in the house. But they quickly figured it out and installed a new duct and vent, all of which ended up looking very professional and clean. When Joe and John got finished, they cleaned everything up, gave us a rundown on how everything worked, answered any questions we had and left without a trace of them even being there ... except for a brand new HVAC system. The new furnace installation looks very clean and professional as well as the new a/c unit. So Roger, from the few experiences I had this summer with you and part of your staff, I was very pleased with the service you all provided. Steve, Joe and John were top notch folks you can be proud to have as part of your team! And, I'm sorry, I forgot the name of the tech who came out Saturday .... Gary? But please include him in that list also! Thanks for all your work!

We came home this past Sunday to house that was 85 degrees and truly unbearable to live in. Buckner's quickly had a technician out to us to confirm to us what we were expecting - the A/C was broke beyond repair. The technician quickly got us in touch with Steve who was at our door within an hour of his technician leaving and quickly performed his inspection to quote us a new Trane. We weren't prepared to replace the Lennox furnace yet, but that's ok, he said he could adapt the Trane to the Lennox air handler and furnace. The team arrived promptly this morning and were two of the most professional installers in the industry. Each time I would step in to see how they were progressing they took the time to show me exactly what they were doing and the best practices to be followed for best maintenance. Within 45 minutes of the new Trane being turned on the temperature has dropped in this fairly large home by almost ten degrees and continues to drop

My electric bill had sky rocketed the past two months. The heater ran continuously and wasn't staying up with the cold weather. Tech showed up in time and did good job of finding the problem. Required a full charge of Freon and a couple of parts. All and all, a good experience.

Works great. They told us step by step what they were doing and what it would cost. Will use this company again. What my husband and I really liked also, was there was no service call fee plus a diagnostic fee. One charge for both. Very reasonable. Not like the other company we called first. We paid another company 215.00 just for the service call and the diagnostic charge. And our air conditioner was still broke. We told them good bye and called Buckner. Wished we would have called them first, we'd have 215.00 more dollars in our pockets.

Came out on a Saturday so I understand it should cost more, but $540 for 2lbs of freon and capacitor is kind of ridiculous. Found out later I could have gotten it fixed for a lot less.
