I called them the following Monday. Verified that as a non-professional I could get my cutlery & yard tools sharpened. I was told yes. I also asked them if they sharpened pet grooming shear blades. I was told "yes". But that I had to leave the motor & blade so that they could ensure the blade was put together correctly and working. Next day (Tuesday) I drove downtown again 25 miles. Upon arrival they told me that I would have to leave everything for a couple weeks. I couldn't part with my kitchen cutlery for that long so they agreed to sharpen those tools while I waited. The remainder of items I could pick up on Friday (but they neglected to tell me that they were closed that day for St. Patricks day parade. Fortunately I read it in the paper. So went downtown on my 3rd trip now 75 miles of driving to get my tools about a week later 3/22/16. Everything was ready and beautifully sharpened. I was pretty happy.
A few days later I tried using the clipper blades which they had sharpened. While although the clipper blades were sharp they were reassembled incorrectly. The blades were screwed into the motor and vibrated off and few like shrapnel in all directions seconds after the clipper was turned on. I was pretty unhappy. It was clear that they had no experience with clipper blades.
I wrote the company a letter and enclosed a photograph of the remaining parts of the clipper blades which they completely ignored. I asked them for reimbursement on a new blade which I told them I could purchase for about $20 on Amazon. I was completely ignored.
Considering it took 3 trips, 75 miles of fuel, and they damaged clipper blades worth $20. Plus lied about service while you wait. I have no intention of ever using them again.
Caveat Emptor
I came in just before closing and they had them ready the next day. Another person came in before me and they accommodated him by sharpening 3 knives immediately.
I previously took my ratchet pruning shears in and they were able to sharpen them.
