SUBURBAN MOBILE HOME SUPPLY CO

I call Suburban Mobile Home Supply to get an estimate and they are kind of high, my husband talks to family member and got a name of someone they used to fix their air conditioning unit. The prices are a little cheaper but of course he asks all the necessary information about the unit to see if any of the parts are still under warranty. He then calls me back and says he needs the name on the outside unit, i tell him who had installed the unit, model and serial number and the name on the unit. He calls me back and tells me the unit is cheaply made in China and most of the parts on the unit had only a year warranty if any at all, he also tells me the company that manufactured the unit has also been in and out of business several times and also has filed bankruptcy on several occasions. He says to me he will not work on the unit based on his knowledge of the unit and that we would be better off just putting in a whole new unit and that the company in question that installed the unit has been known for using the cheapest quality equipment for manufactured homes in the past. He also tells me that a whole new system of better quality is going to run us roughly about $2500.00, well now I am very upset because it is just my husband and myself who both work but live pay check to  pay check like most of the country. We do not have this kind of money saved up to replace a heating and air conditioning unit unless we can find someone who will take payments. Since manufactured homes is such a big thing in this area I would not recommend using Suburban Mobile Home Supply for your heating and airconditioning needs as they have been given some very bad reviews just by word of mouth. I was told by this gentleman who we called to do the repair work that Suburban Mobile Home Supply should be reported to the BBB, my husband tells me they are not as helpful as they once were and it would be better to post on Angie's List. So no work has been done at this time until we can find a new unit in our price range.
