Steve's Frame & Body Shop

After the accident we called the insurance company and they recommended this body shop. Because it was the insurance company's preferred provider we took the car there expecting at least good service and work. It was a nightmare!!!! First of all they had the car for almost 6 weeks to the day. The last week and a half it was promised to us "tomorrow" almost every day. When the car was finally ready we went to pick it up and found an absolutely filthy mess. Granted the car wasn't sparkling clean when it was wrecked but they had gotten greasy hand prints all over my light gray headliner and around both of the windows in front. They left the barbque sauce that had been spilled during the accident and they had gotten filthy greasy finger prints all over my light gray headliner and around the doors where it is also light gray. The outside was also covered in all sorts of shop grime. After driving the car for a few days the transmission seemed to be slipping, we called them back and they agreed to take a look at the car again. My husband also at that time very nicely mentioned the mess that they had left and asked that it be cleaned up. They said "no problem." After 2 more days without a car they called and said that they could find nothing wrong with it and that they had cleaned it up. We went to get it and imagine my shock when I got in the car and all they had done was a quick vaccuum; every greasy hand print was still there. By this time I was so angry and tired of not having a car I took it home and spent 5 minutes ,yes 5 minutes cleaning the hand prints myself. After that we took the car to the car wash to wash off all of the outside grime that they had left. When we again inspected the clean car we found a HUGE wrinkle in the passenger side front door. My husband called and spoke to someone who said bring it over we'll fix it "no problem." Since I have already been without a car for almost 7 weeks we told them it would be a few days before we dropped it off. I dropped the car off this morning and when I got there the owner acted like he had no idea what I was doing there, then proceeded to tell me that the HUGE wrinkle in the door wasn't in the original estimate WHAT!!! why not? I still don't know how all of this will end but I have been as patient as I am going to be, I always try to live by the philosophy that you collect more flies with honey..... but this has gone too far. When I said to Todd (the owner) this morning what a nightmare this had been he simply stated back to me "it sure has" no apologies just cocky attitude. Bottom line, I don't think I have ever had such lousy service.
