He checked them and said there were no repairs needed. He cleaned behind the frig and stove and allowed me to clean under them while they were out. He got a little residue from the inside of the dishwasher. He did not clean the fronts at all. I thought he would clean the grate at the bottom front of the frig and the parts of the ice and water dispenser. He said he cleaned a hunk of sludge from the front loader washer and gave me a tip on propping the door open and cleaning it with cleaning solutions. I do get the mold and mildew in the rubber gasket and try keeping it clean myself. He did not give me the opportunity to clean under them. I assume he pulled them out and cleaned behind but I really don't know since he didn't call me to clean the floor. After cleaning he called a number for me to answer a survey. All that happened was the person tried to get me to purchase an extended warranty. I was asked no questions about the service. He was surprised at this also.

Now, the washer works well. The only complaint is the price for service and parts. I took out a service agreement, which is also too highly priced. The service agreement is $49.99 per month. My washer was repaired, and my dishwasher needed parts that were replaced at another visit. The parts and labor were $313.16 for my dishwasher repair and $192.11 for the washer. The dishwasher is still making funny noises, even after the washer and the pump motors were replaced. Even with the service agreement, the service call each visit will be $75.00. I don't have much choice for repair, since Sears is the only ones that will work on Sears appliances. The technician was great and very professional, so no complaints there. I love my washer and dishwasher for quality and ease of use. They both clean very well (when they work right).

We had a 10 year old Bosch dishwasher that was leaking when we ran it. Repairman arrived and diagnosed repair as a leaking fill valve by my description of the problem without even looking at the dishwasher. Called in for part number and ordered it. Tried to sell me on warranties (as had the person who set the appointment in the first place). Had to pay for the "diagnostic" and prepay for the part. The part arrived a week later and then it took a while to get another appointment. In the meantime our wood floors were newly refinished. Different repairman arrived and said the wrong part was sent but he had a part on his truck that would work which he installed. Fifteen minutes after he left water was leaking when I ran the kitchen sink faucet . I immediately called to try to get the repairman to return. He would not. I called the Sears Home Service and they said they could not schedule another appoint for a week. Needless to say, we made other arrangements. I would never use this company again. Beware!

I had an appointment for June 13, 2014 for between 12 pm and 4 pm. At 4:26 pm.  I called to find out why they had not come. I spent some time in voice h*** and was told by a recording that my appointment was for between 12 pm and 4 pm.  I eventually got a live person, Fernando, who was not a native English speaker and had trouble understanding me, as I did him.  After finally establishing how my last name was spelled, he informed me that I would need to reschedule.  I asked to speak to his  supervisor.  He gave me the "he will tell you the same thing I am" speech, but I insisted.  He put me on hold for about 3 minutes and then said they had overbooked and I would need to reschedule.  I asked again to speak to his supervisor.  He gave me the speech again and I insisted again.  He said he would transfer me to his supervisor.  I was on hold for 15 minutes waiting when they hung up on me.

Called 800-4-MY-HOME to get a technician out to see what was wrong with m 6-year old Kenmore fridge.  Was told no one could come out for 9 days (because I live in a small town)!  Told them that was unacceptable & hung up!
