We gave him half of the cost up front. He called the city and told them to tear up the permit as he wasn't going to do the job. The only thing he did was tear off the siding and some of my wall on the side of my home. I haven't heard anything from him since. The last I heard, the police were going to issue a warrant for his arrest.
Description of Work: He was supposed to do an addition to my home that was going to go out 16'' which was a bedroom, and he was also going to throw in a bathroom for an additional $2000.

Contracter began another project at same time; most work done by helper. Job took longer than originally projected, and additional cost of $1800 seems excessive. One month after completion, many problems began to occur in bathroom: finish of tub flaking off, ceiling bubbling and cracking, toilet clogging frequently, and wood laminate floor coming up in areas. Contractor came out to view problems - verbally committed that he would make repairs - sent associate to take photographs of problems, yet now refuses to make any repairs whatsoever. Have since discovered contractor has lengthy history of such outcomes!
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel including new texturing and painting of walls and ceiling, new flooring, new bathtub and shower, toilet, and vanity with sink, replumb for tub and sink, new fixtures and faucets, etc. Once job began, was discovered in order to gain access to plumbing, ceiling of laundry room directly below bathroom had to be removed and replaced as well. Job was quoted originally at $4800, but additional $1800 added with downstairs ceiling issue. Entire job required approximately 3-4 weeks time.
