Harris Brothers Pressure Wash & Gutter Clean

"I am the worker (owner) in the review who satisfied the customer. Stanley and I had a great interaction and a wonderful talk for half an hour before I left about nothing in particular. He was really a great guy and a great customer. My employee got started on the gutters while I went in and looked at some windows to see if they should be cleaned for not. By the time I had finished with my look and had gone outside I noticed dirt on the ground and debris on the roof. I took the ladder from the ladder rack where it had been put up when my employee had finished with it and was going to go up to finish the job. Before I could go up Stanley climbed on the ladder to the gutters and noticed a very few leaves. He was going to try to climb all of the way to the roof, but his wife didn't like the idea. The gutters were not bad, but they were not to my standard. I recleaned them and made sure everything was removed and that the entire roof was blown clean. I blew out the downspouts to be sure it was clear and bent a section of gutter back into position before rinsing the section of gutter down to be sure it was draining properly. When I finished cleaning the gutters I shot a video with my phone so Stanely was capable of seeing the entire job without climbing the roof. After this was clear I climbed from the roof to the ground and tended to the gutter waste. In addition, we also picked up sticks that were over Stanley's yard at no additional charge. I am sincerely sorry for my employee being cheap with Stanley and sincerely tore into him after we got in the work truck and started down the road, but it is illegal for me to fire him because Missouri is a right to work state. I have to right him up several times and try to make amends before termination is allowed. That being said, the kid that works with me is generally a good kid and has never gone this far with a customer before. He is a new father and I am trying to teach him how to be a man."

"We do use ladder stabilizers (gutter standoffs), but we had just bent our on a job the day before and after being to several hardware stores the day before we couldn't find the one we prefer. The common type sold at the hardware stores is an easily removable stabilizer that bends easy and isn't nearly as safe the the one we prefer which you screw in to fit permanently. It isn't going to hurt a gutter, but people really like you do use it because they think it will and it stabilizes the ladder when it extends. I should have asked Neil if he was alright with us doing it this day or if he would have rather waited for a day or so until I could find another stabilizer. I do apologize for this. and it won't happen again. The price, though, was so high because the job was very risky given what Neil wanted done. It was at our minimum, but we had to spend plenty of time on the ladder and had to crawl on a very steep roof edge. I honestly believe the price was right and after my cost for the lead ($30), fuel ($35 for the day), the price of my help ($40 for this job), taxes ($50 for this job), etc., I had absolutely no wiggle room to perform the job for less money."

"Jane was an especially nice lady and I loved the way she wanted to laugh at everything. I am honestly not sure why she rated us at 3.5 stars for quality because all we had agreed to mend was her downspouts which we unclogged and got working properly. In fact, we cleaned out a portion of her gutters that was completely stopped up and had grass and plants growing in them and we did it even though she chose not to pay for it. Likewise, I am not sure of the reason for the 3.5 stars for customer service or 2 stars for value because we smiled and laughed the entire time we were there and before we left we made sure she saw before and after photos"
