The deck was 6' too short from what the estimate was. The guys came back and added the 6' that was missing.
Upon taking off the old siding, the guys found out that there was no Tyvek or house wrap. They wrapped the house, but it wasn't completely wrapped before the rain started. It rained pretty good for a couple of days and a large portion of the back part of the house wasn't wrapped.
The main problem I had, was that the guys kept getting pulled to work on other jobs. They would tell me that they would be back the next day and it would be two or three days later. They would work a day and then it would be another couple of days before they would show up again.
The storm doors didn't close correctly after they were put back on my house. One guy came and tried to adjust it, but it didn't work. A big wind came up and blew the storm door open and tore it off the door jamb. They had someone come and shim the door so that it would close. Another guy came to fix my door jamb. It took him most of the day to do that. He had to make two or three trips to the lumberyard. After he finished, I noticed that there were huge holes from him screwing or nailing the trim back onto the house. I got with the guy I had been dealing with thru this whole project. He told me he would have someone come and fill the holes and take care of it.
Well, they filled the holes but now I have ugly greyish paint or something along the trim on the outside of my house. It looks like they were in a hurry painting the caulk or something. I am pretty frustrated about that. The rest of the trim on the house looks so pretty and now the front door has this ugly grey paint on the siding. I have attached pictures for how it used to look and how it looks now.
My back storm door doesn't close right still, but after the ordeal with the front door...I think I will find someone else to take care of it.
My siding and deck look awesome. I get lots of compliments.

They arrived on time and completed the job in the time they said. They hauled off the old floor and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with the mannor of both workers. I was very pleased with the condition they left my house after the job was finished
