We highly recommend Joh Cotten Roofing. Excellent work, great clean-up, stuck to the estimated price even though materials had several price increases. Very professional, ethical, and gives proper explanations to the work needing to be done. I called John 11 years ago for an estimate but I unfortunately chose a local company that was cheap. Boy did I pay for it. My roof leaked and they wouldn't back their own warranty. 11 years later I called John again and he did exceptional work. His skills are way above the average roofers in our area! Cotten roofing went above and beyond on the work performed on my house! I don't foresee needing a new roof for many many years. My wife and I could not have hired anyone who would have done as quick a job or as professional, detailed, as accommodating. They cleaned up the yard after the job and not so much as a nail was left. We would recommend John Cotton roofing & Home improvement for any work you might need done.

We have recently had some very necessary work done on our home. We are very pleased with the work of John Cotten Roofing! The price is worth the quality of the work done. The crews were very friendly and very professional. We also appreciated that the boss would show up and check out how the job was going and being done to, I would say, perfection. We are very please and will definitely be calling them when any additional new work is needed. The work they did was new roofing, replacing a chimney cap, new vinyl fascia and sofets, and new guttering. They are very hard workers and clean up was great.

Extremely professional. They gave me an estimate within 15 mins and completed the job within hours. Roof looked like new.

Very pleased with the work and they did an excellent cleanup after all the work was done.

At first, had trouble staying in communication, but once sorted out, estimate was completed quickly and roofing resealed quickly. Still waiting on an email receipt, though.

Mr Cotton sent a person to measure roof before submitting a bid. It was not the lowest bid, nor the highest but I felt it would be the most accurate. Mr John Cotton provided e-mailed photos of various shingle colors applied to my home, which made it easy to choose. Direct observation (from a 2nd story window of work on a porch) of the crew's application process matched the process in the manufacturer's specifications. Since I did not see sealant delivered or used I was very concerned about the nail holes around the vents, etc. Mr Cotton personally climbed the roof and took pictures of the vent and satellite dish to show me the sealant applied to the nail holes, etc. The weather was cold when the roof was applied so I was also concerned about the shingles sealing down. Mr Cotton assured me if problems arose he would be back to fix them. It turned warm the next few days and the high winds since have not created any problems. The original estimate did not have the Senior Discount/Angie's List discount applied. This was negotiated into the contract after discussion by extending the labor warranty in preference to the discount.

Called John Cotton Roofing on the morning of Thursday, October 6, 2016. They had someone come out in the afternoon take pictures of the areas that were leaking. The estimator said he would give the information to the company, but did not tell me the next step. I called Friday, October 7, 2016 at around 11:00 a.m.to see if they had an estimate; within a half hour I had a phone call with the estimate. The owner, John, came out an hour later and fixed my roof. The company is very professional and pleasant to deal with. I would use them again for my roofing needs

Awesome customer service. John Cotten Roofing is a military friendly company that is very good at what they do and quick and efficient with their service.

The job went well; he showed up on the date he said; the crew was very professional and worked hard.   We were on site to view the damage caused by the previous roofer.   Overall, we had a very good experience with John Cotton Roofing.

Replaced a ridge cap; it blew **** ** Fri., we found the leak on Sun., we called Mr. Cotton Mon. AM & by 4 PM he had finished the job in quick time with the correct materials. His promptness was especially welcome as we had inclement weather threatening. A polite and energetic service completed with humor and courtesy. Our prior experience with roofers has not been happy; John is certainly earnest and will have our business again if he wants it. He happily applied the 5% Angie's discount to our charge.

Great workk one of the best roofing comanies I have ever worked with. I live out of town and help to manage family properties. The entire job was arrage by phone, completed on time, and budget.

I was satisfied with the job, except the new vents were somewhat discolored around the shingles. I have a very dark shingle, so it wasn't a big problem. He was somewhat in a hurry, however if I had known it was going to discolored, I would have had second thoughts. It is not really noticeable, and I haven't had any more leaks, and I did some research afterwards, and feel that his price, given that he did on time, and on little notice, was not unreasonable. I got thinking later about the price, and he came when I needed it, and there were storms a few days afterwards, and I did some research, and found out the steel vents, and he did well over a dozen of them. They are often quite expensive, and there is a wide range of prices. He verified them with a magnet that they were steel. They came and did the job.

House has an add-on sunroom coming off the back side. Guttering on sunroom was not properly sloped but rather merely added/attached to guttering already across back of house. Thus, especially in heavy rain, the guttering did not drain properly. After I called Mr Cotten he quickly came to my house and gave me a bid to correctly replace the guttering. Once I confirmed that I accepted his bid, he sent his workers the next day. After looking over my guttering, the workers suggested they replace the short section, and add a downspout to the long section on the opposite end from the original downspout rather than replace and attempt to slope the long section. I agreed and they quickly completed the work. Mr Cotten revised the bid to reflect the (cheaper) work that was done. I am pleased with the work, and the workers suggestion. The drainage problems have been fixed.

He was very professional and knowledgeable.  He worked to provide the service we needed at the lowest cost (telling us, "Well, I could do this expensive option, but I think if I try this much cheaper options there's a good chance it might work."  And "You won't need major roof work for a number of more years."   
His bill was so lower we asked him if it would be enough to even cost his costs (travel and parts).  He assured us it would.  He politely declined an offer that would have, in effect, given him more money for the same work
The work did the trick.  We would strongly recommend this service provider for anyone needed minor or major roof work.

Responded next day to do estimates, made repairs within 2 weeks, got work completed in 3 days.  GOOD JOB

The process met and exceeded my expectations, from initial contact, selection of product and color, actual installation and cleanup, and finally completion and invoicing.  All went as promised without exception.
