Rock solid custom concrete

We contacted Rocky back in October for a bid, we accepted the bid, and paid 40% down payment. My wife was very clear about what she wanted, a water base stain low VOC's and very durable. The color was not decided at this time as we were going to wait for samples to be put down so we could pick and choose. We informed Rocky, that he would need to complete the work in the middle of December, which he stated at the time would not be a problem at all. We had some delays getting the walls finished on time, but, he told us that that would not be a problem, he doesnt need the walls completed anyways. It comes time for the work to be completed, and Rocky can barely be contacted. We finally get in touch with him and he says that he is delayed because both of his trucks are in the shop waiting on a part (1st delay). After waiting 1.5 weeks for that he comes up and starts to sand the floor. He tells us at that time that the following day he would put "samples" down, he was just waiting on the stain to come in from KC. The following day he does not show up, when we finally get in contact with him he tells us that he had traffic court in KC that day, and that he had forgotten about it(2ed delay). we agree to meet the following saturday to put the samples down. Saturday morning he shows up, sands the floor, we talk about the color, and he leaves, no samples down. Now it is one week before our vacation over christmas, and time is running out to get this floor done. He told us that the floor is ready as soon as we pick the colors. He finally comes up and puts "a" sample down, it is not what we wanted, we comes back the next day, and puts another single sample down, again not what we wanted. Fiinally we get him to understand that we want multiple samples down so that we can compare them and pick from that(delay 3). We leave with no color picked out, and the floor not done. We tell him that he has until the Jan 2ed to get done, or he will have to wait until march, as we are out of time. We get back from our trip, and he is up there at 9:30 am not 7 like he said he would be. He got the samples down, and left, we contacted that evening about our color selection, and told him that he could work on Sunday (like he offered too) if he wanted. He didnt respond until sunday around noon telling us that he was not going to come up. He comes up monday to finish the floor he told us that the floor was ready and that it would take less then a day to finish. He spends the day sanding the floor, no color gets put down. He comes up Tuesday New years day, and sands again, then cleans. He told me that he would be 100% done with the floor by 1pm. We left at 3pm to go see a movie, and he was just starting to stain the floor. We came home from dinner and the movie, and the floor is nothing like what we expected and or wanted. My wife was very clear 70% grey 30% green, he did 70% green and 30% grey. The green actually looks like it is just spray paint. We told him to put a thick outline of grey around the cracks, which he did not do at all. Basically the floor looks okay, and I am sure it is a done correctly, but it is not what he sold us on, and the timelines/delays, failure of communications, really left us with a poor taste in our mouth towards Rocky. I would recommend not using him, if you are in any kind of time crunch, he will not meet your deadline.
