ROB'S LAWN MOWING

With no estimate completed, and no planned appointment or communication, someone from Rob's service showed up at 7AM and mowed, even though the lawn was very wet from heavy rain the night before. I got a bill from them. I paid it, but tried to follow up with them about how upset I was. His wife was not concerned when I called, and they never followed up with me.

Couldn't have asked for better.

I called Rob to schedule an appointment.  Left a message on his voice mail, and received a call back later the same day.  Someone came out, while I was at work and left the estimate in the mailbox.  I felt that the estimate was a reasonable cost, so I called Rob to schedule the work.  Again, left a message, and recieve a call back in a very timely manner (people need to remember that small businesses are operated by one or two people, that do most, if not all of the administrative work while performing the work of the company).  While discussing a timeline for the work, Rob reminded me that there was snow in the forecast, and his crew could not get the yard cleaned up if there was snow on the ground (totally reasonable).  Rob then said that if it does snow, it would take a while longer to get the work done, because he always gives his crew time off between Christmas and New Years.  I thought that was a very profound business decision, and knew that his crew would most likely do a good job because they have a boss that thinks about their lives as well as the business.  So, the snow came, guaranteeing that I would not get the yard cleaned up before the end of the year.  After the first of the year, I called Rob back, just to remind him that I was still interested in having him do the work.  Another timely response to my call, and Rob assured me that the work would be done within a couple of days.  The next day I came home from work and found all the leaves gone, and my yard looking good!  My wife was also very pleased with the timing of the work done (she also understands that things like weather and holidays will set things back a bit).  We will use this company for any similar work that needs to be done in the future.  I was very pleased with the timelyness of the return calls, and the affordability of the work that was done.

The crew showed up on time, and worked steadily and quickly. 
The guys were very polite...even offering to help carry in groceries when I couldn't pull into the garage because of the mulch pile.  We have used Rob's in the past, and have always been satisfied with the service before, during and after the job.

Flawless as usual.  I have know Rob Applebury and used his company for the better part of 20 years.  I have never even gotten a competitive price from any other contractor.  Rob handles all of my lawn mowing, fertilizing, aeration, weed prevention, top seeding and Fall and Winter cleanup.  Even after nearly 20 years, Rob still refers to me as "Mr.".  And he returns phone calls!

Rob is very professional and reliable. We are very happy with the service. When I have called him, he's always responded promptly, even if he gets my call after normal business hours.

They did a very thorough job. The yard looked good.

Rob was prompt in returning my call and the work was done within a week or so, of the first call. I've had him do other properties also and have been very happy with the results. I also use him for my weekly mowing and have been really happy with the service his people perform. Would recommend.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK AND THOUGHT THE PRICE PRETTY REASONABLE CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF BRUSH THEY HAD TO DEAL WITH. ROB WAS PROMPT WITH CALL BACKS, BUT IT DID TAKE A COUPLE WEEKS TO WORK IT INTO THE SCHEDULE. I'D USE THEM AGAIN.

I DON'T REMEMBER HOW WE FOUND THEM. THEY COMPLETED THE TASK OF HAULING AWAY DEBRIS, BUT I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS HIGHER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
