We have 60 year old low voltage lighting in good working order, which almost all of the companies we have previously contacted wanted to replace with new (and in our opinion, completely unnecessary) lighting for an astronomical price. Parker's was willing to work with our existing lighting. A man came out right after we called and looked carefully at each of the electrical jobs we wanted done. He provided a very detailed cost estimate that included everything we had talked about and was willing to order the low voltage parts that are not necessarily readily available in the area. He explained the work fully in layman's terms but was not condescending or patronizing. We were initially told it would take 6-7 weeks for the company to start on our work, but they actually worked us in after only 1 week when they couldn't finish a prior job due to rain. Two electricians worked on our jobs both days, and it took 1 1/2 days to finish everything. The electricians took care to protect our carpeting and cleaned up messes from cutting into the drywall/ceiling. The electricians worked quietly and efficiently with minimal supervision necessary. No smoking, no cursing, no loud music, which was a blessing for us. They tested everything in our presence before they left and asked if they needed clarification on details such as exactly where the lights should go. They suggested a modification to our existing switch which saved having to make a new hole and run new wiring for a new switch. The electricians were pleasant and easy to work with and always acted in a professional manner. Price was very reasonable for the work done. We were very pleased with this company and would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others.

Provided accurate itemized bid at a very competitive price. Accepted bid. Scheduled the work. Showed up when they said they would and had the work down approximately when they said they would finish. There has been no need for callbacks, as the work has been flawless.

It went very well. The technician even replaced some other light bulbs for me, which I could not reach. The only problem I saw was the price was a little high.

It was an easy process. I had called a few other electricians and told that it would be days before they could come and look at our issue.  When I called Parker's, the receptionist was very nice and responsive to our needs and said she could have a technician out in about an hour.  Approximately one hour later the technician showed up and was able to evaluate and fix the issue we had with the outlet.  Very professional and nice.  We will use Parker's again in the future.

I don’t remember how much he charged me for his services but I thought it was fair.  It was okay then.  The guy was great.  He was friendly and he cleaned up.  I don’t have any complaints and I thought the price was reasonable.  It was fine.  I’ve used him in the past and so I wasn’t worried about it.  His price was very fair.  His responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism were absolutely great.  I will use him again in the future.

Parker's was VERY responsive.  They came out the day we called, gave a very acceptable estimate, and did the work - all in the same day.  The guys were polite and professional, and even had a good sense of humour.  They did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves.
We would hire them again or recommend them to anyone.

Don Parker came to give me the estimate to upgrade to a 200 amp breaker box. During the walk through he explained how the main would have to be moved due to new codes and they would have to go through the attic and down a wall to the new panel. Parker's Electric was one of three bids I obtained. I chose Parker's because of price, professionalism and ability to fit my schedule. The crew which came to do the work arrived on time, introduced themselves and we discussed the time and actions which would be happening the rest of the day. I was welcomed to check in on them at any time and when I did they answered my questions. They were courteous of my dogs and made sure they closed the gates as they came and went from the back yard. The mounting of the circuit panel was above what I expected because of the wood backer board they placed on the wall before the panel. The wires were not jumbled, each breaker was labeled and no stray wires or plastic casing could be found anywhere. Their work passed inspection the first time. KCP&L has been extremely slow reconnecting the main but the gracious woman who takes care of the office has helped prompt KCP&L to get their work done. When I had a question about a fixture in the bathroom, she had Don call me. This is an A1 company to have in your home.

Took much longer than expected because only two electricians were sent to our home. After receiving a bid for about $10,000 - it turned into nearly double that at the end of the job. Mr. Parker's standard line was "just work with me" - repeatedly - when it came to the cost of the job. After handing Mr. Parker a check for about $16,000 for completing the job, it turned out three of the electrical outlets were not functioning, two of them had never been connected to the electrical supply of the house, at all. Repeated calls to the company were not returned, and we simply gave up trying to get the job actually completed. I've contacted a different local company, in hopes of paying someone more money to actually do the work.

This is the 2nd time I hired Parker's Electric and was very pleased with their work. They are very experienced with older homes like mine. The team of 2 arrived right on time and worked thru out the first day w/o even a break. Everything was protected and cleaned up as they went. They were polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. I thought for all the work they did, the price was reasonable and the work was high quality. I would definitely hire them again.

MR. PARKER IS A STRAIGHT SHOOTER AND HIS ELECTRICIANS HAVE EXPERIENCE REWIRING OLDER HOMES. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL, CONSIDERATE AND VERY EASY TO COMMUNICATE WITH ABOUT HOW THE JOB IS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED. THEY WERE CAREFUL TO USE DROP CLOTHS WHEN NECESSARY AND CLEAN UP AFTER THE JOB IS COMPLETE. THIS JOB WAS DONE ON A HOURLY RATE WITH MATERIALS BILLED, RATHER THAN A FLAT RATE FOR THE JOB. HOURS BILLED MATCHED THE RECORDS I KEPT AND MATERIALS COST WERE APPROPRIATE. I WILL DEFINITELY USE PARKER'S ELECTRIC AGAIN AND HAVE NO MISGIVINGS ABOUT WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMENDING THEM.
