My wife and I were buying our first house. After consulting with LendingTree.com and Commerce Bank, the best rate we had been quoted was 7.9%. Then I went to Patty, and she told me about Missouri's first time home buyer program. Patty was super nice and made sure that her hours are the hours I was available to meet. She got us a 100% financing, 30-year, fixed rate loan at 5.99% (February, 2007). After all this happened, I was assured by a reliable source the First Time home buyer's program was surely common knowledge to all lenders, but that the agent makes a little less money on it and has to fill out a little more paperwork. Thanks for going the extra mile!
