This is the second time I have used McIntosh Heating and Cooling and they never disappoint. Darrell was my sales representative that came to the house and inspected my system and provide multiple quotes for different systems at different price points. He was great at answering all my questions and walking me through all the options. I appreciated the honest feedback and recommendations he made. I ended up replacing the AC condenser, furnace and water heater. Darrell was able to schedule the appointment for someone to come out and remove the condenser on a Friday to allow me the weekend to work on the footing. Then the guys came out on a Monday and from 8am-1pm was able to replace everything and hauled all the equipment and trash away. The install was very professional and clean. The guys answered all my questions and were great to make sure everything was working. Overall, McIntosh Heating & Cooling are amazing to work with from the time you call to the end of the project. Their prices are very competitive and do a great job every time. I really appreciate that they really take care of their customers and are honest. I highly recommend them to all my neighbors and friends.

They were wonderful to work with. I would call them again for any AC or heating issues. They are very personable and informative!

They've been very good. The $175 is for 2 service calls per year. The price is right in what most companies cost. They do a good job and haven't sold me anything I don't need. They are in the time frame when they set up appointments. The techs that have been out here have been very good. They installed the system about 15 years ago.

They do a really good job of scheduling, they don't wait for you to call, they call and set it up, they're excellent with that. We've used them for ten years and never had an issue with them.

McIntosh installed my last system 20 years ago and have used them to maintenance for the entire period. When it was determined that it was time to replace I got quotes from McIntosh and 2 competitors. Their quote was honest and I was not pressured to be quoted or purchase more than I needed or wanted. In fact their quote was thousands less than some other competitors for the exact same system. When it came time for installation I was truly impressed. I am very particular in workmanship and they surpassed my expectations. They were timely, courteous and most of all professional. They performed the installation with the quality that I would imagine would be used if they were installing the system at their own house. The crew was consistently cleaning up through the entire process and left the work area cleaner than when they started.

We’ve used them for years. We wanted our duct work cleaned and they went up there and said we didn’t need it. They’ve just been real good.

I found McIntosh on Angie's List. My initial experience was with Phil in sales. I really liked Phil. He was honest and didn't try to up sell us on everything, unlike some other HVAC. Installation went fairly smoothly except for an unexpected exhaust issue with one of the units. The guys were prompt and hard working. We replaced our upstairs unit 8 months later and this went well, also.
I had them come replace some duct work in 2014 that had eroded due to a leaky toilet above. When they came in, they only replaced half of the damaged duct work while I had expected it all to be replaced for the price quoted. When I called them after this was finished, they quoted me a significant additional amount to fix the rest of the ductwork. I still didn't leave McIntosh after this.
My frustration has been with the repair team/servicing. We had one episode where the unit froze up last summer and water was pouring out of the ductwork above the unit. We were told the controller board was out and this was replaced. We were told this wasn't covered under warranty (for our two year old unit). We had a coolant leak from our upstairs unit and the guy they sent out took forever, seemed clueless, and had to have someone come help him. Our main floor unit froze up again this past week. We called and they could not get to us for a few days AND they would have to charge us extra for an urgent call (Even though we had spent $11,000 w/ their company in the previous few years and that it was on a unit that they had installed for us). We called another company and they came out within a few hours. They ordered the replacement part that was necessary and came out the following day to fix everything. It turns out that it was covered by warranty. They told us that the main problem was that the drainage was clogged and that this should have been picked up during routine maintenance and definitely should have been picked up the previous year when we had this for the first time. Though I was initially very please with McIntosh, they have lost my business. I have another unit in the basement that will eventually need to be replaced and I will definitely look elsewhere for this.
