Art and team were great. They arrived on time and worked both quickly and carefully. The piano I bought had damaged legs that had been rigged in the past. Despite this, they were able to dissemble and stabilize them upon re-assembly. It was clear they knew what they were doing. I would hire them again and recommend them to friends.

I was very pleased with the experience. Art and his employee had a dolly and large truck with appropriate pads to protect the piano and bench. I called to set up the move and they were able to do it that same week. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing to move a piano. I called three different businesses for cost estimates, and this company was the most reasonable.

Arthur was very friendly and professional. He worked me into his schedule to fit my short time frame. They arrived on time, completed the move quickly and took great care of my piano. His assistant was very helpful and considerate. I would definitely use them again if I move, and will recommend them to anyone looking for a piano mover.

I had a beautiful cherry baby grand piano given to me. It was valued at approximately $15,000. Of course, I wanted to make sure competent movers handled transporting the piano from its location (church) to my newly-purchased home. I contacted various piano movers in the metro. KC Piano Brokers' price seemed fair and Art (owner) sounded knowledgeable over the phone, so I set up the appointment. The day before the scheduled move, Art called to ask if we could adjust the time (only a couple of hours difference) because he had a very qualified mover he wanted to use. I agreed to the adjusted time and met them at the church to move the baby grand to my house.
The movers were highly qualified and personable. Their arrival was prompt and they were friendly. It was evident they used great caution to ensure everything was handled properly. Once the piano arrived at our home, the same careful attention was paid as they reassembled the legs, pedals, etc. I would be comfortable referring them to others needing a piano moved.

Overall very happy with the service I received. They came with a team of three movers, all of which seemed to have had experience with moving pianos. They took great care to ensure no damage during the move. My only wish was that they had more formal documentation regarding the price/invoice and their damage coverage policy. But, I was able to put something in writing quickly before they moved the piano that the owner happily signed. I would recommend them to others.

The move went very well. They were professional and very careful with my piano. They were careful about the floors and walls too. It is a very heavy piano, but they knew how to do it the right way.

After reviewing piano moving ratings on Angie's List, we contacted Art Lickey a day before we needed a baby grand piano moved for carpet replacement. The piano needed to be moved from one room to an adjoining room on the same level. He actually moved it the same day we called him because we did have the space. They treated the piano as though it was a very small child! The service was spectacular. They returned 3 days later after calling them, and the move back was just as professional as the move out.
The price wasn't cheap but also not expensive for what they did and how they did it. This was piano moving at its finest and I could see why they have such high ratings. You can definitely trust an expensive piano with them.

3 men from Kansas City Piano Brokers arrived at my mother's house, were all very nice and very professional. They took a quick look at how they were going to move the piano out of the basement, lifted up the piano and placed it on a dolly, pushed the piano up 2 steps, across the patio, up 2 more steps, into the family room, out the garage door and into the rental truck. They clearly knew exactly what to do and how to move the piano, and the strength of the two guys doing the moving was amazing. We were all ready to pitch in and help but they needed no help. AND, I had only called this provider the same morning, as the people we had lined up to move the piano suddenly couldn't do it. They were there right on time when they said they would be, and due to the willingness to work on such short notice was more than worth the price to me! They also tied down the piano inside the rental moving truck and I guarantee that piano is not going to move, as I drive 1200 miles across country! I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone!

I had planned to use another piano moving company because they claimed in their ad that they were the "best in the city". As the scheduled day approached, I decided to check reviews on that company and they were horrible. No one had anything good to say so I cancelled them. I joined Angie's List in order to check out a reputable company and found Kansas City Piano Brokers on Angie's List. They were extremely accommodating and moved my piano right away in between jobs they had already planned that day. I wish they hadn't left cigarette butts at the end of my driveway, but I guess no one's perfect.

It was great. I was afraid it would cost me a whole lot more. I would recommend them to anyone that wants their piano moved.

Very well! It was a difficult move due to the weight and location. The jukebox had to go up a flight of steps with a landing in the middle with a close right turn. They worked hard to get it up the steps.
They also moved a large and heavy electronic organ, as well as a regular piano. A regular moving company had not been able to move these items.
A large orchestrated piano they could not move because they did not have a special piano board, but they put us in touch with a company that has the equipment to move an orchestrated piano.
These guys were good, friendly and had a can do attitude. I also thought their charges were very fair! And they have been in the business for years and years. And the best part is they will work with you to get the job done!

I needed our baby grand piano moved for a flooring project. I went straight to Angie's List and found the company with the best reviews. Mr. Lickey answered the phone and turned out to be the owner of the company. He was very professional, and he oversaw our job. I assume he oversees all his jobs, but of course I don't know that for sure. When he got here he was a bit upset about the number of stairs we had. I had told him the number of outside stairs (we live in a split level and the piano was on the middle level) which I thought they would use when moving. It was a horribly rainy day and Mr. Lickey decided it would be best to move it inside down the flight of stairs going down to the garage. Because I had counted the outside steps and not the steps inside, he felt misled. I believed I had told him correctly, but he did not believe that I had told him correctly. He said that if he had know it was that many steps he would've charged me $475 because he would have had to bring a third man. He did say he would stick to his original bid of $300, but I decided to give him $400 to try to meet in the middle. The two men who actually did the work were very professional and Mr. Lickey's presence did make me feel more secure. We had him move our piano on a Friday, the flooring was done Sat and Sun and then they came back again on Monday to move the piano back. I was very pleased with their work and professionalism and obvious experience. And Mr. Lickey did bring a third man with him when they moved the piano back to my living room. It was worth $400.
