This is the most honest caring helpful vet I have ever been to. The cost is very affordable. I have been taking my animals here for 25 years and wouldn’t have it any other way. The last time I went there I took my cat there for respiratory issues. They gave her steroids and a shot to help her and she is much better now. Dr. Wingert is a very good vet.

The only thing is, you can't schedule appointments, you have to wait, first come, first serve.  But they do things like, our dog was dying, he had to be put down, so they had us bring her to the back door, because I'm sobbing and they just do little things.  For the amount of business they do, and they are always busy, they're awesome.

They were great.

They keep their prices down and they believe in making their services affordable so that people that can have pets. People travel a long distance to go them.

I visit the place quite often. One of them has an allergy but he also had a big lump on his neck. Dr. Wingert diagnosed that perfectly and gave him correct medications. I probably spent $80 during my last visit. We've been going to them for over 10 years. They have really good doctors. The medicines are right and prices are fair. They're affordable. The facility is a little older but they're always good.

It's a cheap animal hospital and they are pretty local. I am not too thrilled at their service. They are very crowded so they don't give much attention to the pets. If there seemed to be something seriously wrong with my pet I would not feel comfortable with their diagnosis. I have heard that they use out of date types of drugs, drugs that are not safe to use for my pet any more so that worries me a little bit. That stuff is harmful to their organs. The cost was $80 for 2 dogs. I would use them just for maintenance like a yearly checkup for my dogs in the future.

This vet had come highly recommended by my neighbors. I was looking for another vet because of problems I was having with the local vet. I Have to drive over 30 minutes across town to get to this new vet, but he was highly recommended and quoted me $300.00 less for the operation than all others that I asked.
Included with the price was three nights boarding for recovery, medication, and follow-up visits. Here is the real kicker. The vet diagnosed her problem as soon as my dog walked into the room. The diagnosis was free! My other vet charged me $100.00 for an x-ray that wasn't really necessary. Dr. Becker gave detailed information on what to expect after the operation. My dog is still in the process of recovering but all is going well so far.
I was most impressed with the professionalism and care that the whole staff showed. They really seem to care about every animal that goes in there.

I am pretty pleased with their services. They really care about your pets. The vet whom I contact there for my dog is real knowledgeable. He is just a real honest good man.

I went to Independence Animal Hospital after a friend recommended them. My experience could not have been better. I, recently, moved to the area and initially went to a Banfield Pet Hospital. Needless to say, my experience at Banfield left a lot to be desired- I wasn't seen for about an hour even with an appointment and they tried to upsell me needless to procedures. Luckily enough, a friend recommended Independence Animal Hospital and they were wonderful. I walked in on a Saturday moning (they only take walk ins) and was seen within minutes even though Saturday is their busiest day. The vet was straight forward and didn't try to sell me fifteen different procedures. While waiting area, I spoke with a few other patrons and everyone of them had wonderful experiences with Independence Animal Hospital. Most even drove as I did more than 30 minutes. I have found my KC vet and recommend if you're looking for one, give them a try.

The office itself is nothing to write home about., and could honestly use a nice cleaning. Dr. Becker, however, is fantastic. He's thorough and really cares about his patients. He was recommended to me by another yorkie owner and I started driving from Platte City to Independence to see him. The clinic's prices seem reasonable; I spent $150 but was given eye cleaner/drops, prescription eye drops, a year's worth of heart worm medication, and had her teeth scaled during the appointment.

They do not dig into our pockets. They don't overcharge. Nothing unnecessary is done. We always take our animals there. They have done a terrific job. They are very professional!
