He showed up on short notice.? He was called because another company didn't show.? He was great.? I would give him a good recommendation because he came and he then ended up coming on a Saturday.? I believe the guy's name was Rick.? I believe he was the owner and he was fabulous.? He was called on short notice, he said he would be there and he showed up.? He did a good job and we had no complaints.? I am very thankful for him showing up because the others didn't.? He was actually cheaper than the original people who did not show up.? He ended up being cheaper.? I told him I would love to give him a good review because he was so prompt and he did save the day.

RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This company is a guy and his sons and employees that do not even wear tool belts while on the job. Not only did I have to have the doors reinstalled by other companies, he has re-grouted the tile in kitchen 3 times and it is still not level. The work is mediocre at best and professionalism the worst. Last week was the final straw when the owner himself took a huge dump in the master bathroom plugged up the stool and left it for me to find when I got home from work and admitted to doing it! They leave cigarette butts everywhere and a huge mess every time they come. The custom wood work they specialize in, has huge reveal over each window, large visible seams along the floor boards, and had to tear off a simple porch to redo 4 by 4 with steps that had not been installed safely or to code. The same with our main staircase it has not been done to code either. They started this project in January and were to be finished in April and have yet to complete the job. They would come a few hrs in the afternoon and then be gone for days. There is no sense of urgency or pride in workmanship with this company. Not to mention very unskilled work as reported by three other companies I have had in this week giving me estimates to repair the "custom beautiful quality" work they promised me. I found them on Angie's list and really recommend checking a lot more references than just on here so you do not have to make the horrible mistake I did.

Rick is always a pleasure to work with - we use him exclusively on upgrades to our home as well as rental properties. Rick had given us a written proposal which we accepted and we scheduled the job. He was here promptly when he said he would be and completed the work in record time. Unlike the original doors from 1959 when the house was built, the doors he put in all use the same key - which makes it easier for us. He helped us pick out energy efficient doors that are stunningly beautiful and bring a TON of light into our home. Gone are the "cold spots" from where the old door would let in hot / cold air from outside! Ricks professionalism and work ethic is beyond compare! We have worked with several contractors over the years and once we found Rick, we looked no further!

Rick, the owner came over and sat down with us and gave us a reasonable and fair bid for the work that needed to be done. He split up the payment into three installments, which was great. He started work two weeks early. It is a family business so it was just he and his sons at the house. That was comforting knowing a bunch of strangers weren't going in and out of my house. They put a wall up, added needed electrical, painted the new room and foyer and laid tile. The work looks great. Better than we had imagined. We will be calling his company soon to put in a new patio door and cabinets.

Performed work as described. Friendly, professional and used quality materials. Rick followed up daily with his crew. He has a good eye for details and design. He performed work not entirely related to original bid in order to ensure that his work would last and look good without adding costs to the bill. Finished ahead of schedule. We will definitely consider him again for our next project.

I wanted counter tops and new sink, I asked for any ideas they have for remodeling. They were good at coming up with design solutions as well as color key.

Rick Hendren at Home Remodel & Repair provided us with a quote the same day that he came out to look at the work we were needing. He supplied us with a professionally presented estimate and sat down with us and went over everything that he was going to do that was included in the quote. He arrived to start the renovation on the date promised and completed the job AHEAD of schedule! He made sure that all papers were filed with the various government/city agencies. When inspectors came to approve what he was doing, he always received a good report. Each day he went over what he was going to be doing that day and kept us apprised of things as he was going. He consulted with us and gave us ideas of ways things could be done that we had not even thought about. He did everything ON BUDGET - did not ask for one dime more than what he had in his proposal! This was so amazing! The end result was a large beautiful bedroom with laminate flooring and a huge walk-in closet with custom shelving and big picture window. He built a pantry and installed a drop-down staircase going up into the attic. He gave us some storage space in the attic, and insulated the whole house in the attic. With the balance of what was "left" of the garage - he built a floor and stairs and now we can just open a door and get right to our freezer. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is to have found Rick! After bad experiences with 2 other contractors in past years, we were scared to even begin a project like this. Rick made it all so easy and produced such a quality end result that we will never look any further for a contractor! We currently have him doing another job because we are so pleased with his work. I will report on that when the job is completed.
