James was a pleasure to work with. He was always punctual, polite, and communicative. He did exactly what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it by. He always kept me up to date on how things were going and what to expect. On top of that, James is an all around very nice guy, honest, and hard-working. He's knowledgeable in most areas of home construction, and has a wide variety of experience to bring to the table. He really loves his job and is in good spirits even when the job is tough and dirty. Overall - I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I'll be sure to call James first for my next home improvement project.

.James has taken down a wall in our kitchen among several other odd jobs. He is the best!  Very reliable, knowledgeable,  honest, hard-working and overall a good person.  He is able to do so much and if he doesn't know how to do something he will get you in touch with someone who does.  He is so reasonably priced too.  He is very easy to work with and great with my kids!  We recently moved here and did not know anyone to help us with home projects so I looked into Angie's List and found him, we are very lucky to have met James!

James was quick to respond to my quote request (a major plus considering all the others didn't) and showed his dedication and professionalism while providing a great deal on the work. He started and finished in record time, all while keeping me informed of every step. In fact, his attention to detail has earned him a job on all future home renovations. He was an insultation and quot;demonand quot; finishing in almost no time at all, while making sure the work was correct and the space was left in better shape than when he started!
Also, James was really great in explaining what was needed as well as what they could do to improve on my requests! He was instrumental in reminding me of the simple fact that you always need a hatch to every attic space you enclose with a ceiling (I forgot the need for it, and so did the other contractors).
The actual drywall work was done on Saturday morning (due to delivery of drywall on Friday afternoon) and was completed by 9:45! Amazingly, his team had accomplished spectacular work without really breaking the sound barrier (although it seemed like it was broken)! They even made sure to replace all shelves and material to the exact place it was before he started the job. AND, they hung some metal wall peg boards without being asked to! Really, every step of this project was an example of exceeding all expectations!
James was also very thorough in doing the final walk thru and explaining things that I had questions about. And having the ability to pay with a card (credit or debit) was a great way to track all expenses.
Excellent work, excellent attitudes, excellent price and excellent timeliness! H and M Construction should be your first and last contractor for every need! They are definitely getting my business again very soon, as soon as I can empty the old garage/studio!

Hand M completed a complete, down to the studs, bathroom remodel for me. Work included difficult tile work on floors and walls, repositioning lighting, leveling an existing tub, sheet rock, installation of new plumbing fixtures, and painting. James took a real interest in getting the project done right at fair pricing. Always dependable and good communication from him throughout the process.

The work was fantastic. It came out beautifully and at such a reasonable price. All work was completed in a prompt time frame, and my house was always left cleaned up at the end of each work day. I would definitely use Hand M Construction again for all of my remodeling projects.

They were beautifully finished! The quality of the work was excellent and helped me get the home sold in a very short amount of time. He also did a few electrical and structural updates prior to closing.
His work was so great that I immediately referred him to another client who needed some small upgrades and a new bathroom floor. He demolished and replaced the bathroom floor in 3 days. It was beautiful and his hard work and punctuality made the experience very easy.
