 + -1 moreFor having a broken door knob, this was a great experience! When I called, I spoke with Ben, who was kind, patient, and helpful. He scheduled a technician to visit my home at a time that was very convenient for me, and said the technician would call approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival to confirm. I got a call from Chris at the expected time, and he arrived right when he said he would. He was professional, knowledgable, and courteous - even my finicky dog liked him! Chris quickly assessed the situation, diagnosed the problem (mechanism cracked and needed replacement), and promptly replaced the handle and mechanism. He even keyed the new lock to my old key. Not that I ever want to need a locksmith, but if I do, Greg's Lock and Key Service will be my very first call, and should be yours too.

Description of Work: I needed some sort of lock to secure a Pella sliding glass patio door with an outside track. When I called other companies, none had any suggestions. A friend recommended Greg's Lock and Key and they were confident that they could help me find a solution.

Description of Work: I had recently contracted with AT&T for their digital life security system and needed a couple of doors drilled for the AT&T deadbolts. He was very nice when I called about this. He came out the very day/time we had agreed on. He started work right away and finished within a reasonable period of time. When AT&T came out the next day to finish installing some other equipment, they discovered the lock in the front door deadbolt had been broken during installation so they had to replace it. Hopefully AT&T will not charge me for the replacement.

 + -1 moreI locked my husband and myself out of the house as we were going to go out for dinner. As soon as the door was shut, I knew what I had done. I immediately called Greg's to get an estimate. I called another business in town and they did not answer, so I called Greg's back. I asked how soon someone could be here (my husband is disabled and an asthmatic) and the gentleman responded he didn't know it could be quite a while and he seemed very disinterested in helping us. He did say " Let me call you back.", but I never heard back from him. That is a very poor way to treat a customer. I will never call on this establishment for anything, nor will I recommend them.

The safe was so old that others didn't even want to try to help us, but Greg's was not scared to take on the challenge. They went right to work and accomplished the job. I wouldn't think of using anyone else! Excellent lock service.

Description of Work: Darrell Richardson from Greg's Lock & Key Service came to our home on Friday 8/24 to see just what we needed and give us an estimate for the job. Our needs were extensive: new fixtures and dead bolt for front entrance; new fixture from dining area to the garage; new fixtire and lock from garage to outside deck; new fixture from basement to garage; and repair lock from sunroom to deck. He suggested we go to Greg's showroom to pick out fixtures we liked the most which we did. They were very helpful and after we made our selection they set up an appointment for Darrell to come back on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Darrell completed all the above work in less than 2 hours. He was very polite and friendly and did a marvelous job . We are so pleased to have this work done. Thanks Darrell, Greg's and Angie's list.

About a month later we encountered a small problem associated with the job on one of the back doors of the car and they got me right in and took care of it at no charge. We've used Gregs for our lock and key needs for close to 20 years and have always been pleased with their work. Very nice people.

We had previously researched safes on the Internet and were very happy that Greg's prices were significantly lower than the manufacture's list price. Greg was very knowledgeable about the various safes. He explained the functions of the various safes, the pros and cons of each one. He answered all our questions and we were able to make an informed decision. When the safe was delivered to our home, the three young men were very careful not to damage anything. They set up the safe and gave us an orientation on how to use it. We highly recommend this company for safes, locks, and keys.
