Description of Work: Steve'son Mike came. He was a little late for 9 am appointment. But he told me he doesn't usually commit to coming that early and the weather was bad. All in all i thought he did a good job. Will use them again.

Description of Work: I don't know how they determine the service charge, as I saw $59 and $69 charges posted on the references. My charge ($90) was about $1/min of time on the job. I don't know when my console piano was last tuned, as it was purchased in the 1970s and was moved into this house in 1977. It was only played by my wife, who died in 9/2012. She hadn't used it for the past 15 or more years. I just started taking lessons on it. Steve's son did the tuning, and he tunes strictly by his electronic device, which is apparently the common method being used now. Although the piano was not that flat overall, he thought it best not to risk over-stretching the strings for bringing every one back to specified cps. It needs to be redone in 6 months, and I've no problem with that.

Description of Work: Steve spent a good amount of time tuning a piano that hadn't been tuned in 20+ years. He was prompt and professional, and offered suggestions on what I might do to save money and keep the piano in good shape. I later found out that he is responsible for tuning many of the pianos at the universities and school around town. I would highly recommend him, and plan on using him on a more regular basis in the future!
