We waited an extra 3 weeks to get the same great crew that did our neighbors house. The work was done by them to my high standards as quickly as possible, given the delay from the cabinet company with messed up or missing items. No fault of Modern Solutions. They did a great job! Our floor has almost perfectly aligned grout lines thanks to the meticulous detail of the crew. If a line wasn't right they did not hesitate to redo it. Everyone was very responsive to every issue or question we had. The owner, Tim, went above and beyond in providing exception service at a reasonable price.

Excellent. Great communications and excellent demo and installation work by the crew. They worked with me as I wanted to install new vinyl in the hall bathroom which meant the demo'd/installed the master bath and then just demo'd the hall bathroom on a Friday allowing me to install vinyl flooring on the hall bath over the weekend. They then came back on Monday to finish the hall bath vanity/top installation. Work was excellent.

Tim Thompson was very accommodating as we went through several rounds of color choices before making the final decision. During the process, I decided to add an accent strip of color to one row of tile. Tim made another visit to bring over the extra color samples that I needed to make my decision regarding the accent color.
A different Tim came to do the actual work. He was very thorough in taping and masking everything so as to avoid overspray and leakage from the airgun that is used to apply this glazing. The flooring was also protected with masking paper and a drop cloth. He showed a great attention to detail. After the job, I found a few places where a minor amount of paint had blown under the masking tape, but nothing I couldn't scrape off or paint over. I did have some minor collateral damage where the masking tape had been put on the wall where the wall meets the tile. This is most likely due to the paint being older. In my case, it is basic white, so I will be able to touch it up with no problem.
Note a powerful fan is set up in the window to exhaust the paint fumes. This is great except that when you pull massive air out of a window, it has to come in somewhere else. This is where I had a minor problem with the installer. Although otherwise knowledgeable and detailed about his craft, this law of physics seems to have been lost upon the installer, Tim. The glaze that is used for this process requires warmth to cure properly. He was concerned about the cold air coming in from another window, but again, the air being pulled out has to come from somewhere. My house is fairly air tight, so if I didn't open a window to compensate, there would have been backdrafts through the furnace and water heater flues -- not good.
So, you may not want to have this work done in the winter as your house will get chilly and drafty. This of course applies to anybody that does this work.
