"This customer was a landlord of an apartment building. Before going out, he asked me numerous questions about what everything would cost down to how much per pound I charge for the two different types of Freon. So I have text messages to prove. Him exactly what I told him upfront, which he did not have a problem with until it came time to pay the bill. Then he told his tenant to pay it instead for him and the tenant of course not having any air conditioning was more than willing to pay for it because they did not want to get stuck another day without cooling. Even the tenant said that the guy seems off and shady and does not communicate well. My prices are below what all of the reputable companies around St. Louis charge nowadays for refrigerant. I told him to check and call around, but he just decided that he would try to make me look bad because he was unhappy with paying me for what I did for him. No one else complains when I charge them the same amount, only this person. I often find this to be the case with landlords. Many times they are difficult to deal with and expect everything to be done at a below retail value."
