The service was fine. It was good. They were very professional and on time. They were respectful of the outside of the house which was great. They were right on it which was also great.

The only reason I used this contractor was because we had one week to get the roof done before the closing on the house. The buyer's real estate agent recommended JH Exteriors. They showed up to give me a quote. While we were waiting for State Farm to arrive and give an estimate, JH's rep told me he wouldn't be surprised if the cost was close to $7,000. State Farm actually provided an estimate of $9,000 something. The job began but it wasn't finished by the closing. It was finished within a couple days, but all the documents at closing had been signed. Two weeks goes by and the rep told me he finally submitted the final bill to State Farm. Last night the rep called me up, and somewhat accusingly, asked me where the final payment was. I told him I had heard nothing yet from State Farm. Today I started making calls, State Farm said they never got the final bill. JH agreed to fax a copy to me. It is not itemized, but shows a total price on the job as $12,837.36. QUITE a bit more than his original estimate of $7,000. I hope my insurance company comes through - or at least investigates this company.

I had my house for sale and got a contract. The inspection showed the hail damage. I contacted my insurance company who promptly came out and met with Jand H Exteriors to review the damage. My insurance company came up with $9,000 in damages. I was give a check for a little over $5,000, which I had to take to the mortgage company to get it signed and then deposit it into my account. Because we had a closing in a couple days, I fronted the first $5000 personally. Jand H never submitted a bid to me, or a contract to sign with a final price. Normally I would not do business with a company like this, but the buyer's real estate agent suggested Jand H. The roof was not finished when promised (day of closing). It was finished the next day. I still don't have a final statement. I received a call a couple days ago (2 weeks after the completion of the job) and was told Jand H contacted my insurance company directly and sent the final bill to them. This is fine, but I would like to know the amount. Now I have to go through the same thing - getting the mortgage company to sign the check, etc. This is all on a house I no longer own, and on an insurance policy that has been cancelled, and a mortgage that has been paid. Jand H did tell me in the conversation that the final bill was quite a bit more than the insurance company had quoted. I find this ironic because when Jand H first talked to me they said the job could cost as much as $7,000. State Farm said $9,000 originally, now I am told the final bid was and quot;quite a bit more.and quot; I feel this is a little and quot;shadyand quot; and I certainly hope I don't get stuck paying for the remainder of the roof out of my own pocket.
Also, my insurance company only agreed to replace the shingles with the same type of shingles. The Buyer wanted an upgrade to architectural shingles and some other edging he wanted done. Jand H said they had a side agreement. I certainly hope those additions are not hidden in the bill that was sent to my insurance company. I would like to see a copy of the bill sent to the Buyer, but I know that will never happen.

Roof had been leaking in various places for a time. Josh Hudson, came with an estimate that was fair and guaranteed. Could not get same price with a guarantee from 2 other estimates. Friendly and informative employees. Josh, always on site to oversee work. Garage was damaged by vandal. Excellent customer service and perfect work product. Will most definitely use them again.
