Foundation Repair Services D.B.A Everdry Waterproofing of Eastern Missouri 814 Fee Fee Road Maryland Heights, MO 63043 Steve Niznik, Owner We rate this company ?F? due to their chronic unresponsiveness to repeated calls to the company, to their weak technical capability, and to their disregard of our requests for help with a potential flooding problem caused by failure of equipment they recently installed. It should be noted we inherited Everdry from the previous homeowner and have been paying an annual ?warranty renewal fee? for the past 12 years. During that time they have replaced one failed pump without charge. The details of the current situation are outlined below: January 14, 2009. Signed contract for installation of new battery powered backup sump pump. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Installation of new pump finally scheduled. Appointment was cancelled and installation moved to Friday, February 7, as pump was still not available in their warehouse. My assumption is that they maintain no inventory. Friday, February 25. Backup pump installed and deemed working by installer. Monday, May 4. Noticed water level in sump higher than it should be (three quarters full rather than one quarter to one half). Called and left message that ?something is not working right.? Tuesday, May 5. Technician injured back and cancelled service call. No one was sent in his place. Supervisor said he would come if no one else was available. They weren?t, he didn?t. We strongly restated our concerns about impending storms. Wednesday, May 6. Technician arrived 5:45am and reassembled float valve on battery backup pump and tested same. Drained water out of sump. Said main pump needed to be replaced as it only worked with manual switch (which they should have done under the warranty). Thursday, May 7. Rain continued and with water rising and neither pump working we made multiple calls made to company. No one called back. Friday, May 8. Repeated frantic calls made to company. Receptionist said ?guys were out? and would call when they got in. No one called. We finally called our plumbing contractor who sent plumber on an emergency call who fixed both pumps. He found that: New battery back up pump had float valve installed incorrectly, and Existing main pump had been moved against sump wall blocking valve from working so plumber moved it back two inches and it works fine.
