From the initial bid, to the actual work getting done, we could not have been happier. They got us on their work schedule quickly, and the entire job was completed from start to finish in 4 days. The team ripped out and discarded our old chain link fence, as well as dug out our new patio and hauled all waste away. Once the old patio was dug up, we discovered that the entire drainage system below was cracked. They had to re-work an entirely new system and it only added one day on to the process. The patio was poured with a beautiful curve and finished nicely. The fence was installed to perfection, it curved down a slight hill, and the team worked the boards until it followed the curve of the land perfectly. Overall, the speed and quality of the work, along with the friendliness and professionalism of the team was outstanding. I would recommend Band D Construction to anyone.

Were very prompt in coming out to give us an accurate estimate for the work. Due to some external circumstances (weather, family issues, etc.) work took a little longer than expected, but it was no fault of theirs and they always communicated to us what was going on. They did an excellent job (so far, no water is pooling on the porch, which was the main issue) and always cleaned up after themselves. The porch and stairs look great!

It went very well. B and D tore out the old sidewalk which had sunk quite a lot. This was causing a drainage problem and was a constant pain every time it rained. It ended up being a mud hole. Dave and his guys tore this out and ran a new drain to our gutter, which included moving a large bush. The new sidewalk they poured was twice the width of the old and looks really good. We chose the exposed aggregate which they came back after a few days and sealed. Everything went fine. There were no problems and/or hassles, which now days is the exception, not the rule.

They did a good job. I got other bids and they were competitive. It's a small company. The first job had to be completed by a certain time because of a city inspection and they completed it on time. This project has been delayed because of the weather. They are top-notch.

This was a wonderful company to work with. Dave was professional and was in constant contact from the start. He called before he came to give and estimate, after he left, and provided a ball park over the phone before the full estimate came in the mail. He also had the lowest bid out of six. He called and thanked me for the business when he received my contract in the mail and was in contact about when he would be able to come and do the work. He was a bit off by about a week due to the weather, but he did the work quickly with great results. I am a very satisfied customer.

This company is great!!! I received several bids on replacing the old porch and sidewalk. When Dave came out to give me the estimate he also suggested ways to make the new one better. He suggested enlarging the front porch and making the sidewalk wider. The old one was very narrow. He was the only contractor that took the time to make suggestions and the price was still within my budget. Dave and his crew arrived on time, were very professional, and delivered a high quality job. My porch and sidewalk are perfect. I highly recommend this company.

Arrived early for estimate. Gave us several options, dropped off example of one type of finish a few days later. Estimate arrived when they said it would. Checked with us to see how our bidding process was going, never a pest. Did have to delay start due to weather, I'm glad they didn't start then have to wait a few days to finish. Did an outstanding job. On time, cleaned up. Exactly what we wanted and what they said it would be. I highly recommend them for concrete work.

In May, my husband and I decided to start demolition of our existing patio. We worked all weekend for several weekends. Due to heavy rains every Friday, we were delayed in getting the area for the new patio dug out for 2 months. We finally got sick of seeing the mud hole at the back door and called Dave. He came out to give an estimate very quickly and was friendly and asked lots of questions to ascertain what we were trying to do. As soon as he had an opening in his schedule (about 1-2 weeks later again due to rains), he called to ask if he could start the next day. The crew showed up and were great. They told me exactly what I needed to pick up from the store to get the drainpipe buried (a job we were supposed to have completed before they showed up). They even came back on the first day when I forgot to have them dig out a small section. They had to remove an existing gate so they could get a machine in the backyard and actually IMPROVED the gate when they put it back. Great job!

Dave and his crew did a great job. I highly recommend him. He is truly a man of his word. He showed up when he said he would, he kept me informed, he stuck to his bid, and his work looks great. This was my first concrete experience of this size and I had a ton of questions. Dave patiently walked me through all my questions. My yard was completely cleaned up when he was done. The driveway looks great. I will hire him again.

Went great! Dave was professional, consulted with me about what I wanted to see as far as the outcome of the project and made appropriate recommendations. Dave gave me more than one option, and took my budget limitations into account. Once terms were agreed upon, they started the work promptly, showed up on time, and completed work in as timely a manner as the weather would allow (some delay due to rain). Dave was even considerate of my boyfriend's alternative work schedule, and tried to keep noise to a minimum to not interrupt his sleep. Work was completed to my satisfaction, very pleased!

Driveway cracked shortly after they poured it. The cracks are getting deeper and there are more of them. My new driveway now looks terrible. I called Dave several times. He promised he would come out but never did. I am disappointed he does not stand behind his work.

"B & D completed an aggregate driveway at the member's residence three-years ago. To date, I have not received any verbal or written correspondence from the member, in regards to any complaint that she may have had with the job that we completed. An aggregate finish requires being cleaned and sealed twice a year to help maintain its integrity. If it's not properly maintained, due to inclement weather seasons, such as ice, salt, snow, etc. it may increase the potential of cracking. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that concrete will not crack and it's impossible to prevent. The only thing you can do is attempt to control the cracking, by installing expansion joints and wire reinforcement. These items were both installed in the member's driveway. I do stand behind my work if there is fault with the installation. However, I feel B & D is not responsible, as I am unaware if the product was properly maintained during the inclement weather seasons in Missouri."

Dave and his crew arrived on time as scheduled to begin the work. They began immediately, and were polite and professional throughout the length of the job. The job was completed in the amount of time estimated by Dave, and they cleaned up the area very well. I was especially pleased that they took care to protect my and my neighbors lawn by laying plywood on the grass to move the wheelbarrows to the back yard. Dave also had a crew member replace dirt and sod around the patio so there would be no drop off. The patio is beautiful; I've received many compliments on it. When my neighbors heard what the cost was, they agreed it was a very good price. The final cost was a few hundred more then the estimate, but that was because we agreed to make the patio a few feet longer, and have him install the railing. However, Dave did not charge me for entertaining my 2 year old grandson, who stood at the patio door watching the "worker guys" for 2 hours. Thanks, Dave!

I am planning on rehiring B and D for a future project. They were responsive and very courteous. Their bid was less than the other three I had gotten and I believe I got my money's worth. Ben and Dave provided very helpful suggestions and they started and completed the job when they said they would. They completed the work as scheduled and they cleaned up after themselves. My new patio looks great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for professional concrete work.

B and D returned our call quickly and gave us an estimate within a week. They completed the deck in the time they estimated, managing to navigate the multi-step, Kirkwood permit process along the way. The deck is solid and well made. We are extremely happy with their work.

Quick response to call. He stopped by the house to look over what we were doing and provided suggestions to help us and his crew. He made sure concrete truck did not pull up in driveway to avoid any potential damage to driveway, even though it meant they had to wheel the concrete up a pretty steep hill on the driveway.

Dave and Ben promptly came out and gave me a bid on the project the day after I called the company. They completed the work as scheduled. The actual job took one full day. It was completed in a timely manner, about two or three weeks after I accepted their proposal. Their bid was considerably less than the other two I received. Every member of the crew was polite. I am very happy with the look of the pathway. All in all, they did a fine job at a very reasonable price. I would definitely use Band D Construction again.

Concrete cracked shortly after Dave poured. I told him a year ago about it. He still hasn't come to look at it despite several phone calls. I am very disappointed in him.

"THIS MEMBER WAS SPECIFICALLY INFORMED THAT A FOOTING AND WALL POUR WAS THE PROPER WAY TO POUR THIS PARTICULAR JOB. INSTEAD THE MEMBER INSISTED THAT THE RESIDENCE WAS ONLY A RENTAL PROPERTY AND CHOSE TO DO A MONOLITHIC WALL AND PATIO IN ONE POUR. WE INFORMED THE MEMBER THIS WAS SIMPLY A QUICK FIX AND NOT THE WAY IT SHOULD BE HANDLED FOR LONGEVITY. AGAIN, THE MEMBER REITERATED IT'S A RENTAL AND DID NOT WANT TO SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THE CORRECT PROCEDURE. THEN WE RECEIVED EXCELLENT GRADE MARKS FOR OUR EFFORTS. LATER, AS PER OUR DISCUSSION A CRACK APPEARS, AND THE MEMBER INSISTED THAT OUR PRODUCT WAS FAULTY. THIS, IN OUR ESTIMATION, IS UNWARRANTED."
