Called late in the afternoon. Repairman was at my door 1st thing next morning. He ran a diagnostic on 1988 unit and found multiple leaks of coolant inside house and outside on unit. Asked if we wanted the old unit fixed or a new unit installed. Gave a quote of $4910.00 for correct size unit. Installer was there within 3 hours to measure for correct fit. We ordered unit and set up appointment for 8/14/2014 8:30am.
Crew started work on unit before 8:30am. They were very professional. They put down drop clothes to protect my floor. They worked quietly and efficiently. They cleaned everything up and were completely finished by 1:30pm.
Will use this company if needed in the future. Have already recommended them to friends.

They didn't follow the code. Evacuated unit and did not stand by as required. Were in front of house smoking. Added extra dryer which was already in the unit. Condemned the way the unit was installed -- but unit was correctly installed. The unit was less efficient after they completed the work.
Response from Ed's Heating & Cooling
"On June 2, 2011 we did a service call and found a bad reversing valve. The call for that service was $68. The customer authorized us to order and install a new valve. We went back out in July and reclaimed the refrigerant, welded in the new valve and added back in 9.5 pounds of R22 refrigerant and a bi-flow drier. The labor for that was $204. The R22 refrigerant was $199.50. The charge for the bi-flow drier and two sticks of silver was $124.50. We also charged a $20 vacuum charge and $40 reclaim of refrigerant charge. We sent a reminder on September 15, 2011 that the invoice was overdue. On October 12, 2011 [member name removed] called complaining about the bill that was dated July 27, 2011. She said her husband was in this industry and that 2 sticks of silver was too much. She also stated that she was on vacation and that's why she didn't get the bill. [member name removed] called back after we sent them notice we turned them in to our collection agency saying that their system wasn't heating properly and wanted us to come out and look at it. Ed told her we would not come back to their house to check it because they had never paid for us installing the new valve. They told Ed he would see him in court."

Ed Danley can fix any A/C system and could have repaired ours if we wanted him to, but our system was really old and costing a lot for us to run especially in the winter time as it was just an electric heat strip furnace. Ed gave us a lot for our money giving us a premium high efficiency York heat pump system for a very reasonable price. We were able to upgrade to a higher efficiency system at no additional net cost as we were able to qualify for a rebate through our utility company. A day was scheduled for the change out and Ed's crew was here on time and was very professional. They got to work right away and changed out the entire system by that afternoon. It was clear that the technicians on Ed's crew took good workmanship very seriously and went the distance to ensure that everything was done right. They showed me the inside of my old furnace after they got it out of my cramped crawlspace and it was all gucked up with yucky mold covering half of the coils due to a non draining condensation line. I realized then that I should of had Ed come out and do annual check of my system and that I had really neglected to have important maintenance done. The crew came out again on a subsequent day and totally rebuilt our air return box and installed this awesome filtration system that cleans the air much better while letting plenty of airflow through the system. All work was done in an organized fashion and they kept the work area very clean. The system works flawlessly, our electric bill has decreased, our home is much more comfortable and the air is clean and fresh. I am very impressed with this company and I believe that it all comes down to Ed and Tam Danley's commitment to running a quality business. I highly recommend this company and regard them as the best heating and air conditioning people in the Branson area.

Crew was there on time and was very professional. They provided updates every hour or so and when the job was completed, they walked us through the entire process. The difference in heat displacement is outstanding.

Had to replace the heat pump and ac in a house less than 3 years old! The builder and used a unit that was not under a warranty, unknown to us! Ed's came right out, did an excellent job, and went beyond their responsibility. There was a bad vibration in the wall when the heat pump was on, due to the builder not installing the piping properly. Ed and his guys worked on this and got it fixed at no extra charge to us, even though it had nothing to do with what they had done. They get an A+ + in our book.
