Not to be trusted! Charged $200 to come out and give an estimate. This is not communicated on their website or when you call to schedule. He gave me an estimate for $2800 to remove bats and seal off access to my attic. I got a second opinion from Critter Control and they told me there were not even bats in my attic, that they were actually on the outside of my house. Critter Control didn't even charge me for coming out and inspecting.

Run. Scam artist, aggressive fast talks over customer.Secret hidden charges. Charges more than amount customer signs on receipt. Horrible customer service if you ask to many questions he gets frustrated. Proposes $1000-$3000 solutions that other companies deem unnecessary. Charges customer $94 per trip to reset his traps if they close due to equipment malfunction. Does not keep his work to check traps as he promised. Claims to have the highest level of training in the US and MO but trust he will prey on u and gauge you for money! Chose someone else.

Trapper Joe did not assess the entry point accurately, exaggerated the situation by referencing the possibility of rats when squirrels were the issue, and proposed over $2000.00 of remedial work. Instead, another vendor (Rottler) assessed situation at no charge, completed successful solution of trapping 5 squirrels over a 2-week period for $600.00, shared with our common wall neighbor.

Contacted them early last year to take care of some squirrels in my roof. Was given the run down about trap placement and periodical checks to ensure humane re-homing of squirrels caught. I don't think this occurred as when I thought to check on the traps over a week later they were full of frozen squirrels. Oh well. I *assume* some measures were taken to prevent re-entry and I paid about $600, don't recall the exact amount. Fast forward to springtime when the squirrels came back. Though they had not done a stellar job the first time I contacted Trapper Joe's again since my previous receipt indicated some sort of confusing warranty. Thinking very erroneously it would be cheaper than starting anew with another company. They came out and identified a few points of possible ingress, and I resisted the urge to wonder out loud why these hadn't been taken care of the first time. On April 13 I received an invoice/contract for $800 worth of labor (to be performed in the future). Over the course of the next couple months more traps were placed on my roof, and some sealing up of questionable entry points. When Joe called at the end of June (!) for final payment I owed more than $1500. (!!!!!!!!!). He stated the extra charges were due to multiple checks that were performed on the traps, the validity of which I could neither confirm nor deny. Regardless I was aghast at being charged almost double than what had been agreed upon. After some hemming and hawing I got my charged reduced to just over $1200. I felt awfully preyed upon and foolish, but at least relieved that the job was done and I could put this nasty business behind me. Then today the squirrels came back. I've thrown away almost 2K on this dastardly company and pray this prolonged incident prevents anyone from getting swindled in the future.

The provider arrived and placed traps for the squirrels. None were trapped.
A few days later they arrived to take care of the damage and insulation. The insulation where the squirrels were nesting was removed. The provider argued with me about whether or not my estimate included disinfecting the area.
After they left I investigated further and found they just blew in new insulation on top of the old insulation, which was at least 20 years old. I also found they patched the access holes by tacking hardware cloth over the holes. It's very obvious on my trim boards and completely embarrassing as visitors see that side of my house from the driveway.
I called about this and after several phone calls was told, "Wouldn't you like more insulation than less? That just doesn't make sense wanting less insulation." I wanted the old removed and new blown in.
In the end, the squirrels are still here and I'm not really sure what I paid $1100 for in the first place.

I attempted to schedule an appointment by calling the number listed on their website but reached a man who was "not in the office" and asked to have someone call me back in 30 minutes. After 2 hours and no return call, I called again and got the office number. I scheduled an appointment for the next day (Friday); however, the office staff had to reschedule, indicating an employee was out ill. Rescheduled for Monday with a 1 hour window for the appointment. When the appointment window came and went without anyone showing up or calling, I called the office and left a message for the office staff. When no one returned my call after an hour, I called the first number to reach the man who was "not in the office" - He did not identify himself by name. I told him no one called or showed up for the appointment and I would be going with another company. He did not seem concerned, just stated again "I am not in the office."

"I would first like to apologize for the lack of communication. We were experiencing difficulties with our phone lines being transferred to the wrong number, which is why you kept getting the gentleman that was not in the office. This is not an excuse, and is unacceptable customer service. I just wanted to explain why we did not get back with you promptly. Again, we apologize for not being able to help you with your Nuisance WIldlife Needs in a timely manor. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Trapper Joe."

I basically paid $125 to do nothing, just to come have a look. He gave me information on how to take care of the bats, which is to just wait until it's cold enough that they go away. The bats had roosted behind some of the shutters and he said he would have to remove them all and seal them to prevent the bats from coming back next year. He looked just like Jeremiah Johnson and was pushy and unpleasant to be around.

Overall, they were great.  They seemed to know what they were doing.  They also seemed reliable.  They were late a couple of times, but they had reasons and they still made it.

I asked the man to irradicate snake problem in house.  The problem was identified, which was large gaps between wood siding and concrete foundation.  A solution was proposed along with a bid.  The bid was roughtly $1500.  Different materials were proposed, including caulk and cedar strips to fill in gaps.  After the work was performed, I inspected the entire perimeter of the house by holding a mirror  under the siding and viewing up into the gaps.  I discovered huge gaping holes.  He had used no cedar or any type of wood strips, and the caulk that was used had big gaping holes, not just in spots, but around the entire house.  This created a worse problem because I had to fix the problem on a surface that was now irregular and uneven.  Not only did he not come near solving the problem, he was untruthul with his proposal and totally misrepresented himself.  I don't even know why I paid him $500.  This happened almost a year ago, and I am still angry enough about it to write this review.  I should not have paid him anything.
