 + 0 morehe came twice, first time went fine. he said he would be back to us within a week but it was more like a month after a follow up call. he came back was at my home with my wife alone and said things about her that were unwelcome and totally inappropriate.
Description of Work: he said inappropriate things to my wife. would NEVER have someone who said what he around my home.

 + 0 moreStone Mill spent quite a bit of time helping us develop a plan for the patio, giving us plenty of time to make adjustments and to be sure we were happy with the plan. Actual construction was delayed by the unusual amount of rain in October so the timing was a little longer than anyone anticipated, but through no fault of Stone Mill. Workers were extremely courteous and conscientious about their work. We are very happy with our patio and will enjoy using it for a long, long time.
Description of Work: Stone Mill designed and installed an extensive flagstone patio and walkway (650 sq ft) in our backyard; excavated for poured concrete foundation and footings as well as laying flagstone, mortar and finishing work. They also re-layed a front porch area in flagstone which was poorly done by another contractor

Description of Work: They removed an old concrete/brick walkway, poured a concrete base, and installed a walkway (with steps). They also built a stone retaining wall and installed stepping stones.

 + 0 moreBob Karleskint, the owner, is exceedingly nice and very easy to deal with. He pays great attention to detail and the end result shows it---attractive craftsmanship, neatly blended with the existing brick work. His crew were hard-working (man, was it hot!) and polite. They seemed to know their business, as well. My only complaint, and it's not a major one, was the timeliness in starting and finishing the project. I think my job was a relatively small one, and so perhaps it was squeezed in between other major works. When all is said and done, the final result was worth waiting for. And the price was very reasonable; in fact, I think I got a pretty good deal. I would recommend Stone Mill Design without qualification.
Description of Work: We had concrete and brick steps that had settled and dropped, causing a super-sized step which was difficult to negotiate. Bob and his Stone Mill Design crew removed the existing steps and replaced them with concrete and stone, creating steps of equal height.
