Jim was very professional, informative about all of our options. In the end, we were able to choose a solution much cheaper than replacing the door. We will definitely contact Cardinal when we are ready to buy a new door!

Upon looking at the opener the service tech sheepishly told me that they can't get parts for AllStar openers anymore and promptly tried to sell me a new opener. Of course I was charged for a useless service call. Sure would have been nice if the scheduler had told me the AllStar parts were no longer available. In effect I just paid to get a sales pitch. Never again Cardinal Door. Never again.

F is for- horrible communication/customer service, Lying and dishonesty to cover up mistakes, and not even attempting to rectify situation.
They were to replace a garage door at a building we manage and a business operates. They came out twice and were hired, deposit was made. We were scheduled for a Tuesday install. Price was average, in line with others, slightly cheaper. All appointments for the day of install were canceled costing thousands in revenue, but it was prescheduled and ok with us.
Tuesday comes...but no garage door, no phone call, nothing. WE CALL cardinal door and they tell us they will have to change install to Thursday b/c the door isn't in yet. Strike 1. Terrible communication. They didn't even bother to inform us of the issue. We told them Thursday would not work because it would mean shutting down the business again and cost another day of revenue. The front desk lady, MJ, says she can get us on the Saturday schedule as an exception, they don't do weekend installs. In the meantime, we left three messages into our sales rep David. He never returned our calls, so we called MJ again, she says David is in the field and will should get back to us.
David finally calls. He says he was "sick". We tell him we were told he was in the field. No response. Strike 2- Lying. He then tells us that their Saturday schedule is full and that he wouldn't be able to schedule us until next week when the owner returns. Strike 3- more lying. How is your "Saturday schedule" full if you don't install on the weekends as your front desk told us?
David and MJ were indifferent and unprofessional. This was 100% their mistake and they didn't even bother to try to fix it. We asked to speak with someone in charge...apparently, no one is. Dealing with a company that is so blatantly unprofessional and dishonest is indicative of their character. We told them to deposit our refund. MJ, said "OK, but our accounting department is not here so it will have to wait." 4 days later, we call for a receipt, she says she will send it and hangs up on us. Never rec'd the emailed receipt. Spend a bit more money and go with a professional company.

They took their time to install the door and did a great job of cleaning up and removing the old door. The door was even better quality than the sample I saw when I order. The installer was friendly and took the time to make sure everything worked properly. The service was excellent.

We had Cardinal Door install a new garage door with a new Liftmaster 3265 opener. They installed it in December of 2013.
What they don't tell you is they re use the existing wiring by splicing into and using wire nuts. The installation was poorly performed.
Six months goes by and the door is noisy and very loud. I called Cardinal Door 6/23/2014 to report this problem and expected
a quick solution, but was told I would be contacted the next day. Well that didn't happen, I called and was put in contact with
Angie Brown, her position office manager, to schedule an appointment for warranty work. She told me the problem was that i had to upgrade to a belt system to eliminate the noisy operation? I wanted to be present at his arrival but Angie was being combative,
argumentative and mocking me by laughing at me over the phone. The work was scheduled for 6/26/2014 between 12 and 4.
Dan the service man called me at 3:50. Dan fixed my door under warranty but it was very stressful dealing with this company.
According to Angie if you want something special done during your install it has to be written in your contract. I thought that was
standard to do a professional job by installing new wiring that came with the garage door opener bin the first place.
During my long conversation with Angie Brown I did request to speak to the owner or someone other than her and she refused.

My four year old garage door opener started beeping. I checked the manual and it appeared to be a problem with the battery. To be honest I didn't even know it had a battery. I called Chamberlain and got the name of Cardinal Door as a factory approved repair station. I called Cardinal Door and the explained the sound and number of LED flashes to the receptionist. She told me I needed a new battery and asked if I wanted to purchase one from them or have a service man come out and install one. She told me the service call would be $ 49.50, the battery would be $ 80-$90, and if I wanted the hardware adjusted it would be $ 29 and some change. I elected to have the service man come out and do the work. I thought the total would be around $ 170.00. Cardinal Door was very good at scheduling the service call for the same afternoon. The service man called me 20 minutes prior to arrival as promised and arrived on time. Before he started he stated that I needed a new battery and asked if I had been quoted a price. I said yes, around $ 80.00. He said he would work up a quote. He quoted me $ 224.40, $ 29.00 for the diagnosis, $ 49.50 for showing up, $ 79.00 for the battery, $ 58.00 for labor, an d $ 8.90 for tax. I told him no one had said anything about the $ 58.00. He told me they had to charge for labor. I told him to go ahead and do the work. He replaced the battery, oiled the wheels and springs, sprayed silicone lubricant on the hinges and cleaned up. The garage door opener worked well and the garage door opened smoothly, but I just didn't feel good about the experience.

Visited Cardinal Door showroom in High Ridge, MO to see the garage doors available because unfamiliar with Ideal Doors. Very impressed with displays, quality, and professionalism of staff. The site appeared very well maintained and displays a lot of baseball Cardinal memorabilia, which adds to your visit. Salesman Mike called to set up an appointment immediately and was very prompt and courteous, while providing great information about the company, their products, etc., leaving an estimate with us. After careful consideration of several companies we chose Cardinal Door for product quality and availability. Installer Brian arrived promptly in his bright red Cardinal Door truck, and performed an exemplary job on the installation of our garage door. He was very knowledgeable about the product and warranties, including the operation and maintenance which he explained completely. Our old garage door was wood and during our interview process to select a new garage door, the cable became tight and wouldn't allow the old one to close completely. This situation required us to make a decision right away, and although Cardinal Door had a full installation schedule for the following couple of weeks, they were able to rush our install and had it installed within 24 hours of contract completion. How that's service! Just FYI, they arrive in true Cardinal style driving eye-catching vehicles that stand out in any crowd!

When we decided to replace the garage door, we got a couple of bids but again went with Overhead Door -- felt very comfortable with their entire operation. When the garage door was installed, our technician noted a small dent in one of the panels that my husband did not see. The tech finished installing the door, pointed out the imperfection and told my husband he would order a new panel and call when it arrived. The new part arrived within 10 days and they again came out -- punctual and courteous -- and installed the new panel. We are very pleased with the end result and with all our dealings with this company

It was very good. They kept on top of the problem. I talked with them several times about it and they came out a few times to try different solutions. They never tried to disown the problem and they did get it fixed.

When they came out, they explained what was needed to be done and then he asked my permission to proceed. He did a great job cleaning up behind himself and he was quick. I was happy with the end results and the price too.

Excellent!! The initial person I spoke to on the phone was very polite and professional. I called seven other companies, this was the first to be able to do same day service, a technician was at our home within an hour of the call, the work was done quickly, the door was in better shape than before (additional minor adjustments were done to make the door more convenient and easier to use at no additional charge) the repairs. The technicians were very polite and professional.
