Rainman Irrigation

I've called Rainman for service on 4 occasions. The first was to get some heads changed out in the back yard and the second was to have my system blown out for the winter. Both were performed in a timely manner. Fast forward to my second year in the home. I have called Chris on two different occasions, one for a repair and the other to have the system blown out. In both cases I left messages and in both cases Chris failed to so much as return my calls. I'm not sure what happened, but even though Chris and Rainman installed my system I will no longer be trying to use them as it's clear they don't want my continued business. I even feel guilty for recommending rainmain to my neighbor across the street who used them to install his system.

Rainman Irrigation installed our sprinkler system for us and has generally been very responsive when something broke or to provide winterizing service.  He charged $55 for winterizing and has done it for us for about 4 years.  Recently, a pipe burst, and we've been trying to get service from him for almost three weeks.  I've talked with Chris personally at least 2-3 times, and he said he would come out.  But the last 3-4 calls have just hit voicemail with no response.  He had been responsive and helpful before.  Now he's not.  Not sure why.
Well, found out that communication hasn't been great, but their service does work well.  They told me they were going to come out on Friday.  I stayed home to wait for them, but never saw anyone.  I called to inquire and received a call much later telling me that the work was done while I was at home.  I never knew.  So I changed the ratings.  I appreciated their work; just wish they would tell me or leave a notice about what they did.

The job turned out absolutely fantastic.  Our sprinklers wouldn’t turn off and it ran the whole night. When we used to wake up in the morning the whole yard would be like mud and we couldn’t figure out how to turn them off. We tried the controller head that is managed on the shutter of the garage.  I tried to find a shut off valve and apart from shutting off the water to the house there was no other way.  I checked Angie’s list and came across him and he was relatively close to where we live. He was here within 40 minutes on a week day.  I told him I had no clue how to turn the sprinklers off and as it was my new wife’s home and she had no clue. He popped a cover and threw a valve and he shut the water off right away.  He was out on a Sunday to repair the system for us. It amounted to $80 for us and that too he came out on a Sunday I was expecting to be charged more.  This guy gives attention to detail and he is very personable.  I just get the feeling that he cares about customers.  We are going to use him a few weeks. 

Requested tearout of an entire garden zone before landscapingwork could be done to return the area to lawn.  Was told I could just remove the heads myself and the tearout was not done.  I had to dig up the tubing myself.  Additionally, I received a call from the original installer because Rainman Irrigation cotacted them letting them know that I hired them to do work on the system.  I then had to deal with the original installer and explain why I was using Rainman and not them.

I had a problem with sprinklers that would not turn on.  I was charged for a service call and the sprinklers were all checked and verified and the problem fixed.  I have had no issues since.  The gentleman came out at short notice and was prompt and courteous. 

The job was very well done. Rainman Irrigation did everything they said they would do and the price was reasonable. No last minute changes or pressure was ever applied. The job was done quickly and professionally. My yard looks fantastic this spring!

I had various bids on installing a lawn sprinkler system for my yard, but I ended up going with this company because my neighbors had used them and they were pleased. I was going to have new sod laid, and I wanted the sprinkler system installed before that. I had a lot of dirt work done by another company, then I needed the sprinkler system laid, and then the first company had to come back and lay the sod. They were very easy to work with and made plans to come out immediately after the dirt work was done so my fresh dirt would not be exposed to run-off before the sod could be laid. I have had them come out a couple of times for routine maintenance since the installation and they have promptly come.
