While the pricing and the quality of the work were good, Dan Brooks showed up to the job 2 1/2 days late. This caused multiple issues because the reason the work was being performed was because I have a contingent contract on a new home. I had multiple parties scheduled to work on the hose based on the time frame Mr. Brooks committed to in getting his work complete. His work was critical because others couldn't be working for 3 of the 4 days Mr. Brooks was working because no one could be on the wood floors. Needless to say when Mr. Brooks showed up 2 1/2 days late it caused multiple issues. Not to mention it pushed me past the contractual date to have my house on the market. I did get a one week extension to get my house on the market and rescheduled all of the other contractors. This was very time consuming and cost me time and money. When Mr. Brooks came by to collect a check my wife put him on the phone with me and I explained all of the issues he had caused by being late, and that he should discount my bill. He told me he would put a lien on my house and that no one would buy it then unless I paid the full price. I paid the full price and am now showing my house to potential buyers while the remaining improvements are being made. There is no way to tell how that may impact a potential buyers decision on whether or not to buy my house. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and am sharing this review with anyone who will listen. Mr. Brooks did not take any accountability for his actions when confronted with them and did nothing to remedy the situation. Instead he threatened to put a lien on my house. I would recommend that you tell everyone you know not to use this contractor.
