"The Technician for A#1 Best Heating promptly responded to the member's furnace-service request on SATURDAY, Jan, 14 2012. The member phoned late on a very cold, very busy service-day. Due to water problems within the furnace, the unit developed multiple problems involving electronically sequenced parts, Twice with this furnace, an electronic part was replaced only to have the next sequential part fail shortly after the repair man left the premises. The customer phoned and the technician returned promptly - staying with the job until the customer had heat on a cold January evening. The Technician was on-site three times before he quite working on the furnace very late on a Saturday night. Please Note - Each time the technician left the job site the furnace WAS working. The total $371 service cost was more than fair for the quality parts installed (not generic junk parts from the internet) and the terrific amount of travel time (3 trips), labor cost, and technical expertise supplied by A#1 Best's technician. At the conclusion of the third visit to the member's residence, VERY LATE on a Saturday night, the Technician did, indeed, warn the customer that if the furnace failed again that the gas valve was proving to be BAD and would also need to be replaced. The customer did NOT contact A#1 Best the next day (Sunday), or ever, to report that the furnace had ceased to function - and did indeed need a gas valve replacement. It was the customer's choice to call a second HVAC repair company to proceed with the gas valve replacement that A#1 Best predicted would be necessary. If the customer had phoned A#1 Best to report the Sunday gas-valve failure, we would have been happy to respond and help the customer to the best of our ability, and in all fairness. Thank you."
