WE CONTRACTED CARL TO REMODEL THE CLOSETS A MONTH BEFORE OUR DAUGHTER WAS DUE TO ARRIVE FROM TENN TO TEACH A CLASS AT UMKC DURING THIS SPRING-SUMMER. SHE STAYED WITH US FOR A MONTH. WE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO CARL, AND REQUESTED THAT THE WORK BE DONE BEFORE SHE ARRIVED IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. CARL SAID THAT HE WOULD TRY, BUT COULD MAKE NO PROMISES. AFTER WATCHING MANY DAYS PASS WITHOUT ANY WORK BEING DONE, WE CALLED HIM, AND TOLD HIM THAT HE WAS NOT MAKING MUCH OF AN EFFORT TO COMPLETE THE CLOSET BEFORE OUR DAUGHTER ARRIVED. HE THEN BECAME CONCERNED, AND MANAGED TO GET THE PROJECT COMPLETED BY WORKING ACROSS TWO WEEKENDS. OUR DAUGHTER ARRIVED TWO DAYS AFTER CARL WAS PAID. WE USED THE DAY BEFORE HER ARRIVAL TO FINISH THE CLOSET & STRAIGHTEN UP THE GUEST ROOM.
