They come out in the fall and summer for service. They did a repair for like $240.00 and then a cleaning for about $120.00 but I am not certain.

Everything went fine, as we knew we had a leak with the Freon with our AC/Heater over 20 years all.  They filled the Freon to get us going until we had both units replaced.

They check both our units, replace filters, etc. Always do quality work. Suggested we try to see if the downstairs unit would handle the heat upstairs and we are able to turn the unit down upstairs....liked that they wanted to help us save on our bills with the utilities. Very consciencious!!

They did a fairly good job. I think they were competent. They seem to know what they were doing. They were pretty professional. They did the job and were gone before you knew it. Their price was pretty average for around here for what they did.

They were professional, explained what needed to be done before doing the work, including how much freon would be needed and how much per unit.

They did a really terrific job all the way through from the presentation to putting it in.  I was really impressed.  They were professional and very nice to deal with.  I will recommend them highly.  They presented and explained the work.  They were very clean, kmowledgeable and not pushy.  They did a really good job.  Everything is running great.

When the temperature in our house reached over 90 degrees  we called Apex Hearting and Air Conditioning to repair our HVAC system. The service man arrived within a half hour.  He immediately discovered the problem, a dirty condenser coil, cleaned it, and  went on to check other possible problems. Finding no other problems, he put things back together and left without charging us anything. This was not a warrantee job, as someone else had installed the system, and the system was eleven years old. Finding someone to quickly identify and solve a cooling problem in the heat of the summer was amazing in itself, and not charging us for it was unbeatable.  I recommend Apex for any such job due to the service, the expertise and the cost.  Thank you Apex.

I selected APEX after receiving quotes from another A-Rated company.  APEX's quote was competitive and slightly lower than the other company.  APEX personnel came out to my home on the time and day we scheduled.  I had several questions for the installers, and they took the time to answer all of my questions.  They did not seem distracted or irritated by my line of questioning.  The installers needed to move the entry point to my house from where my old unit entered.  They informed me of the change and explained why the new location would be beneficial.  After installation one of the installers explained how to operate the new humidifier we also purchased.  We had no problems with the operation of the unit once installed.  APEX did not have the SEER level that we purchased, so APEX provided one at a higher level.
Our furnace did not work properly after the installation of our new unit.  I spoke with APEX's front office within a week of the installation, and the representatives I spoke with said that there was no connection between their installation and our furnace not working.  APEX sent a technician out to my house post-installation and the technician confirmed the same.  In the Fall, some 5 months after installation, I called APEX again--this time to fix my furnace.  The first technician could not remedy the problem.  I was not charged for that visit.  APEX then sent a technician with 20+ years experience and he tested each circuit individually, which took almost two hours to complete.  However, his thorough trial-and-error approach yielded the problem.  A component in the new humidifier APEX had installed was defective, preventing the furnace from operating.  This experienced technician indicated he had only seen such a problem once or twice in his career,  APEX replaced the part at no charge and did not charge for this final attempt.
In all, the installation went well, though it took a total of four different APEX technician visits to rightly identify the problem with my furnace.  I greatly appreciate their getting all of my old and new components working together, but APEX personnel--technicians and the customer service representatives--were kindly and professionally adamant that there was no connection between their installation and my furnace malfunctioning.  While they could not have known that the humidifier component was bad, I would have greatly appreciated at least one APEX employee acknowledging that it was possible that my furnace malfunction could have been related to, if not caused by, their installation.

Salesman and installers were all on time, professional, and courteous at all times.  Install seemed to go well enough, and they finished the same day.  The A/C unit and air handler seemed to work well, but there were immediate problems after they left though with the ERV ventilation unit.  It was not working at all and after comparing information in the installation manual left with us to what we saw at the unit, it was clear there were numerous things about the install that were not done correctly. Who ever checked or tested the ERV unit after installing completely missed the fact that the unit did not function. Bringing this to the attention of their service manager, the response was quick and attitude good, but it was also clear that their knowledge of these devices was sorely lacking and they really did not have the expertise to be setting these up.  After lengthy consultations between the manufacturer and Apex and us, they sufficiently increased their knowledge base to a point where they were able to make the changes to allow this unit to be functional and working, but there were still unresolved questions about certain deviations in the way the unit was ducted. We felt a sincere effort had been made and operation established to at least make the unit usable and it seems to work ok now as far as we can tell.
Additionally, we have had problems with condensation dripping off of the air handler unit and falling on the wooden floor, as the drip pan installed was not large enough to cover the area. Recently the A/C unit has started not performing well, and we will have to have them back out to take a look at that.  I checked that I would not use them again, but to be fair if you are doing a more standard and less complicated install they would probably be just fine.

The salesman and the service technicians were all very professional and helpful.  All the questions I had were answered.  The removal of the old heating/ac system and installation of the new system along with some new duct work was completed in 1 day.  They did a thorough explanation of the system and the programmable thermostat.  The air handler (Not the fault of Apex) had a heat strip problem and they had the part ordered and installed within 24 hours of finding the problem. I would use this company again.

I couldn't get the new thermostat (that I installed) to work right. We had a guy come out to fix the furnace about a week before this, so I was sure it wasn't a furnace problem. These new-fangled thermostats with their government regulated settings (over-rideable, supposedly) are a pain, so I called APEX to see if they would come out to install an old-style thermostat that I had.  They were there when they said they'd be, and even though I wasn't personally there, my wife was (this was her brother's house) and said the repairman was knowledgable and friendly.  He replaced the new thermostat with the older one I had and stayed there until the house warmed up correctly.  But it didn't!  And guess what?  There WAS a problem with the furnace fan! Imagine that!  So he fixed that and now the furnace works great.  I will use this company for my own HVAC work from now on.  I specifically joined Angie's List to find someone to do this particular job for us.  I will use it as much as I can from now on!

It got very  hot in house with a/c blowing circ air only.
Called Apex and soonest was nex afternoon.  Cold not sleep in 90 degree house.
So called apex after 4:00 pm and tech answered and said he could come in 2 hrs.
After hrs cost is 32 dollars extra.  Well worth it for good night sleep.
With coupon, saved 25 dollars.  Tech came right on time and was very informative and helpful.
THere was a wire that was cut and he just stripped the wires and reconnected them with electrical tape.
Very easy fix.  Had cool air come back on.

Troy at Apex provided me a quote in late 2010. Although I did not make a purchase at that time, I was very impressed with his approach as compared to those at other providers (especially AB May). When it did come time to replace my system, I went exclusively to Apex for the quote. They quoted and installed within 1 week. The install job was high quality craftsmanship and a great system (Lennox). Highly recommend!

My AC went out on Sunday and I called them on Monday morning. They were not able to service me that day and immediately offered for me to go else where with my business but I made an appointment for the following day. They arrived on time, they were very professional and very considerate about shutting doors, locking gates and was kind enough to notice I was hopping around in a cat on my let to go ahead and closeup everything downstairs so I would not have to go down myself. They explained everything that they had done and showed me the part they had to replace. Work was approved before they did anything so there were no big suprises. They worked fast an efficiently.

I was able to get a reasonable service date and time and was told the price was $79.00 and only additional charges if cooling was added or a part was needed.  The technician was late for the appointment.  After inspecting the system I was informed that cooling needed to be removed and not added.  The technician finished his work and handed me a bill for $180!!.  What how in the world do you go from a $79 system check to $180 dollars.  They did not set expectations properly and completely over charged for the service by 228%.

Very frustrated!
