Shiery Rental Properties

We rented from this Land Lord for 4 yrs. He never repaired items that went bad, we even had to replace the dishwasher on our own. When we left the residence, he refused to give back our deposit stating that we left the house in disrepair, even though we painted the entire home and cleaned the carpets. In the 4 yrs we lived in his home, we replaced the heating elements in the hot water heater 30 times without any reimbursement from the land lord. Also, when we moved in the carpet was damaged from the previous owners dogs and that was also used as a reason to not return our deposit. Bottom Line, all this man cares about is his rent check. If you rent from him you will not get your deposit back no matter what you do. When I emailed him about moving out I didn't hear from him at all. I tried to call him the last week to return the keys and still got nothing from him. The last I heard from them was a certified letter stating they were not returning the deposit.... 2 months after moving out of the home. I had to leave the keys and garage door openers in the house on the counter to return possession.
