It took over a month and a half to complete job. The people hired to tile, did not even do the basic to protect home: It was winter and snowing when the two men started tiling upstairs bathroom's and small bathroom on main level. The first day they tracked wet muddy snow on light colored carpet on stairs and Master bedroom. Apparently were up and down so much that the stair carpet was torn in two spots. The second worker, tiling the small main bath, that edged up to beautiful wood floors, did nothing to protect wood. When I got home and discovered the scratches to the wood floor and the dirty carpet, I took every towel I own and a table cloth to lay on carpet. Contacted the contractor and informed him. The next day, a third person was added to the group to tile. While working in Masterbath, I came home to discover that the new worker was using my dresser (unprotected) as a work bench and made a scratch to dresser. I called the contractor, who had him not return to home again. On the third day, they brought over some old traps for stairs and wood floors( after damage was done) , When I complained to the contractor about my beautiful wood floors being damaged. He actually tried to make me believe that no other homeowner he has worked with had this many complains! Upon pressing the problem he agreed to fix the wood and clean the carpets. The tile being finished in the two upstairs baths, main floor bath and basement. The stairs leading to basement having wood done. That worker ( still cold and winter) cut the wood in my garage, causing saw dust to go everywhere(having just purchased the home, half the garage was full of my property) which I had to dry vac. He asked if I had a dry vac, which I gave him. Upon getting ready to leave I saw him put my personal home vacuum clean in the hall closet.( Yes, he couldn't figure out how to use dry vac and instead without permission, used my home vacuum as a dry vac)!! Then he left the glue to dry on my newly painted wood trim. The wood in my home is a red oak, I told Nick I wanted the wood stairs to match. Imagine my surprise to find then stained walnut! So the main level wood floor had to be sanded and re-stained. Again I wanted to match the wood trim ( red oak) guess what? I have lite oak, completely losing the WOW factor upon entering my home. I could go on and on..... But apparently I expect professional work done.
Description of Work: Tiled basement and three bathrooms. Wood on stairs leading to basement.
