Had to call the A/C repairman on the hottest day of the year. (Doesn't it figure?)

The system was blowing warm air.  Gladstone said they couldn't come the same day, but they could the next.  The arrived when promised the next morning, and in short order, had the A/C back up and running. (A capacitor had gone bad.)

Good, prompt service, was provided, a fair price was charged, and we now have air conditioning once again.

Will use these folk in the future, when needed.

My A/C a-coil froze up yesterday-No airflow and thus no A/C.   I know
just enough about A/C units to be dangerous, but was quite sure that I
needed a charge of R-22 FREON.   I called Gladstone Furnace and A/C
because:
1. They had great reviews on Angie's List-Nothing less than a "B" rating-That's darn good.
2. They were  a local company (Gladstone) and I live in Gladstone.
3. They had been in business since 1948 and were a family run business. Solid track record for over 65 years.
4. They were insured, licensed, bonded and had been on Angie's list since 2005.
I called them and ask their scheduler (Amy) what would the chances be that they could
give my A/C unit a charge of R-22 today, the same day I was calling.   She said that they were 100% booked
for 4 days.  I ask if there was any way they could work me in at any time during the day .
I told her that I could meet them at my house ASAP if they called me with an opening.   She said they might be able to
do that If I would stand by the phone for a call if one of their service techs could finish a job sooner than anticipated.  Well, low and behold the phone rang two hours later.  It was Amy @ Gladstone Furnace and A/C.   She said that they could work me in if I could  be at my  house in 30 minutes.   "I'll be there" I said.   I was there in 30 minutes and so was Alex, the
service Tech.
He was courteous and helpful.  He took the time to ask me a few questions, and I must of convinced him that I knew enough about A/C systems to take my word that the A/C unit needed charged.  He grabbed his pressure gauge hose system, hooked it up, said "Yup, I think you're right.".    Put 1 LB. of R-22 FREON in my A/C system. We did an "Ops Check" and it was working great.  Hi flow-cold air.  He packed up his gear and was done in 15 minutes!   I paid him less than what I think most of the Air conditioning service businesses  charge for R-22 (which is the older type Freon, quite expensive..about $70 a pound)  and they gave me a senior discount and then advised that if I had any more problems, to give them a call and they would be right back.  I could not have been more please with the service and price.  They are great.   I highly recommend you consider Gladstone Furnace and A/C if you have A/C problems and you need service.

I always had trouble with my unit and when it was the coldest, the furnace would go out and when it was very hot, the air would go out. I previously used another company who couldn't seem to get the unit working properly. When the technician came out from Gladstone Furnace , he was able to get it running. Ever since then, I haven't had any problems with my unit. I now have them come out for seasonal tune-ups on my air conditioning and furnace for the past two years. They are a family owned business. The woman in the office is very professional and polite. When I call for scheduling, they ensure that I schedule my tune-ups in the appropriate seasonal time. They are very honest. They always come when they say they will come and they are punctual to appointments. I can't say enough good things about them.

Great service and very responsive. I felt like I got a good value and I think it was a good experience. It is nice to help a local business also.

He was very good, fair, did not over charge, and did a great job.

They are working on my house right now, and everything has gone fantastic. They are congenial and they are just working away. They came out today because it is cooler outside and should be done today. So far I am satisfied. I know I will be.

They came as committed and were reasonably priced. I will use their services in the future, too.

I spent about $120 on that service. They were very prompt and professional.

When Gladstone Furnace looked at my air conditioner, he said it looked like it had been struck by lightning and I may want to call my insurance company. I hadn't even thought of that since the AC unit was 11 years old. Sure enough, my insurance company covered the cost of the AC less my deductible. They were friendly, professional, and the unit was replaced within 2 days of my call. I prefer to use a family-owned business; I have used this company before and have always been satisfied with their work.

They were very good and punctual. They were there when they said they would be.

The offer of continued support meant a lot to me, because it was a frustrating situation, apparently caused in part by the drastically cold temperatures and their affect on the gas pressure. The furnace has worked perfectly since my last conversation with Bill at Gladstone Furnace. (We have worked with them for several years, having purchased the furnace from them in 1999.)

They showed up when they said they would. I thought their fee was quite reasonable. He was willing to answer all of my questions.

The work was done in a timely manner i.e. the next day. The installation was well done and the new unit performs well.
